I have to start visiting these forums more now that I'm collecting. It's neat to see some of the stuff you lucky people get for so cheap. I'm always looking these days, so I'll probably have some neat things to post as well. I mostly frequent Goodwill and E-Bay with a thrift store here and there. I'm really looking foward to the spring/summer garage sales in the rural area where I live. I figure some of these families with kids leaving/gone from home will probably be getting rid of some good N64, SNES, PS1, and PS2 stuff. Some of my memorable purchases (sorry I need to share before I look at April):
Time Crisis (CIB w/Namco Guncon) $15
Killer Instinct SNES (w/ manual and strategy guide) for $10
Super Mario Kart, Aladdin (Genesis, CIB, mint), Trouble Shooter (CIB, super mint), Donkey Kong Classics, Bushido Blade 2 (CIB) -- each for $3 (thank you Goodwill)
Contra and Kirby's Adventure $10
Got another NES system with about 15 games (some powerpad), hookups, 4 controllers, and a power Glove w/receivers for around $100
Stumbled upon a Nintendo Miracle Piano with adapter at a thrift for $20 (and they gave me a keyboard stand it was displayed on too, no MIDI cord though)
This April I recently got Blackthorne for SNES, Super Spy Hunter, and Trolls on Treasure Island for about 1/3 of their price. Forsaken 64 CIB (actually NEW, but had a crushed corner on box and torn seal...with poster, cards/inserts) for $5, Battletech CIB for $5, Trap Gunner CIB and Blast Corps CIB for less than half price.
My Dad rented a lot of Nintendo and Genesis games when I was younger, to this day I still remember playing Bubble Bobble 2. Amazing how much that game is worth. I remember friends/relatives who didn't keep their systems like I did, so many expensive games: All Megaman NES games, Mario Party, Smash Bros and Kart games, Intelligent Qube, Metroid and Castlevania games, Contra Force... When my Dad bought our NES he also had the entire ROB the Robot with Gyromite, too bad we didn't keep that when I was younger.
