I've been encountering this issue. I buy Gamecube games but because of what they are pressed on I cannot get them clean. I've taken them to other people and have had no luck, tried doing it myself too. What do I do?

Because GameCube games are smaller and can't be resurfaced without special adapters, I only purchase mint GC discs.

If you're having trouble with unreadable GC disks try wetting the bottom of the disk, then apply a small dab of tooth past and clean with a rag or old t-shirt.

Wipe it dry and it should help.

You may have to do it a few times but it may help.

I just saved a copy of Mario Kart Double Dash with this technique earlier today.

You could also try using a Magic Eraser depending on what you mean by "clean" (ie: Do you mean removing scratches?)

I wrote a post on this last night using a PS2 game as an example.

I have one of those electronic Game Doctors that spin discs to clean them, and I found that if you spray it like normal and then put your finger in the middle of the disc you can find the sweet spot where it spins and cleans the GC game as it revolves around your finger. Once it's made a complete cycle around I wipe it off with the microfiber cloth and buff it like normal. I was able to resurrect a very scratched Mario Party game like that and now it works like a charm.

Edit: I assumed you meant cleaning a GC disc if it was unreadable, other than that I don't know what else there is to clean on a disc lol.

Can we get a clarification of what the OP means by "clean" before we all give him various methods of defacing the discs?

They're made of polycarbonate, the same as EVERY other optical disc out there.  If you're just trying to clean them (as in remove dirt and debris), then do so using the same methods which you employ to clean other optical discs.
