Super! Bitcon Gaming Convention
So just today I got to attend my fifth gaming convention (Retropalooza, Screw Attack Gaming Convention, Oklahoma Video Game Expo, and Portland Retro Gaming Expo are the others) and I thought I'd share some pics with you guys. It was a lot more packed that I thought it would be. I didn't know there were so many retro gaming enthusiasts around where I live, which is only an 8 minute drive from home. Awesome expo with tons of great deals and friendly vendors. Got to see some cool youtube personalites again, such as AlphaOmegaSin and the Game Chasers. They even had a arcade section with all the machines set to free play. I'll post my pickups from the convention in the march pickups thread. As far as how the convention compares to the ones that I went, it is great. Portland Retro Gaming Convention is still the best retro game convention I have ever been to, but this is not too bad, especially since it is a short drive away. Seriously cool event, with live music, indie game developers, and I even got to play with a Retron 5 and got to play Little Samson on it (it actually plays perfect and the controller is much, much better than I thought it would be. Think Neo Geo CD-ish type of feel). The guy at the Hyperkin booth was surprised that I beat Little Samson on the spot and I told him I've beat that game at least 6 times before! Anyways here are the pics:

Re: Super! Bitcon Gaming Convention
I wish they had this kind of thing over in Australia, PAL games are always more expensive
looks like super fun. If only i lived there and had a huge expendable income.

Expos are way overpriced most of the time. Mainly resellers there. I got my Karnov in private for 15 bucks and it was complete!

Too many games
Re: Super! Bitcon Gaming Convention
It's awesome to see all those games, but as stated they are well overpriced. Most can be purchased at home from eBay for less money, and that doesn't even require you to leave the house, pay for gas, admission, parking, etc.

Re: Super! Bitcon Gaming Convention
A lot of the sellers were a bit overpriced, but there were a few who had some pretty decent deals. plus they would give you a pretty good discount if you bought several games at a time.
but I do agree that buying on eBay is just as reasonable in a lot of cases, but I almost hardly ever get to go to video game conventions, especially retro games so its nice to see games being sold out in the wild and buying them in person instead of hitting the buy it now button on eBay. plus I get to meet new people who are into the same stuff that i am in, kind of like this website, although no one knew what TCP was when I mentioned it to a few people there.
