No worried Shadow. Your point still stands that yours would be cheaper, I just wanted to clarify the price you had stated.

  playing at Devil's Advocate here:

Case of 100 (with document pouch) shipped via cheapest method  is around $230 for me.

I wasn't saying they were cheap or even close to the cost of the UGC, I was just stating that they wouldn't be $4 shipped (unless maybe if they were shipped internationally to some countries).

I think our BitBoxes are great cases, but in the end game cases aren't big money makers. If they were then I would have never had to make them in the first place because everyone else would have been making game cases. I push BitBoxes mainly because they are a SAG branded product and I stand behind our products. I give kudos to Shadow. What he is potentially doing is not easy or cheap.

This will be the last a post in this thread because its not a BitBox thread and I don't feel its appropriate for me to continue to post here. Good luck Shadow. :) If you would like me to edit out any of my posts just send me a PM.

Wow! That is quite a hefty booklet there!  :o

Cool Cool, I'm going to use that as may sample... unless anyone knows of another that is larger?

Also, I am seriously thinking about making the game carts "snap" in the case like the Gameboy cart do. I need to know 1.) Good idea? 2.) Are there any size differences within the same consul carts? and if YES where is the difference?

Small, off topic, side note: I know that there are several odd-ball carts in the Gameboy realm and I WILL be creating cases that house these. ;) I just need to know about the NES/SNES/FC/SFC/N64  (I am VERY SURE there are NONE in the N64)

N64 all normal carts same size (Normal being game carts, un-normal being game sharks and such).
SNES 2 sizes: US and PAL/JAP. (+ same un--normals as N64).
NES: All basicly same size widthwise at least.
Famicom: Carts vary hugely, but are about same width always (I think max variation was les than 2 mm).

NES has Aladdin Deck enhancer carts, I'll check the size tomorrow.

A word of caution if you're going with snapping carts into place, you might want to consider gold and silver carts that could get scratched or chipped by such snaps.
My DS Cover Requests: Anno 1701, A Witch's Tale, A Witch's Wish, Black Sigil, Dynasty Warriors, Flower Sun and Rain, Mage Knight Destiny's Soldier, n+, Time Ace

You can always put something between the clips and cart.

I have 6 non-standard NES cartridges by creator (Tengen, Color Dreams, Wisdom Tree, Epyx, AGCI, and Camerica).. they are all no wider than standard carts, but thickness varies and bulges at a few points, and the form factor is definitely different.

My Aladdin Deck Enhancer carts sadly disappeared in a move ages ago, but I can say from memory and a quick google search that they were not the same size (though there's only 7-8 of them)

So out of the NES carts, what is the thickest? And as for the clips, I see what you mean with carts like NES Zelda, what if even if you snap/ cut the clips off the cart will stay in place within the case?

Epyx?  All three of theirs were licensed as far as I know.

Looking over them, the width all seems the same.  Didn't check height.  Depth, the Camericas look to be a tiny big deeper, all others smaller. I have one stack, a wisdom tree game, a color dreams game, and two camericas, they cancel each other out and all carts line up with their neighbors again.

Impossible Mission II from Epyx is definitely a non-standard cart.

Color Dreams/Camerica... yeah they're certainly not that far off, but they have weird bulges in them (Camerica for the Position A/Position B switch, Color Dreams for the little I dunno, thumb grip?  Whatever you'd call it)

Sooo... would you agree that if you take the height of the Color Dream cart's Thumb grip that would be the "Thickest" cart?

Top of my head, I think you're correct.  But I will check when I get home from work, the Camerica cart MIGHT be a little thicker.

Even with the bulges they do not affect height, otherwise the way my carts are stacked would be lopsided.

impossible mission was released by AVE and SEI in the US.  It's the only SEI cart game so I can't say on thoese.  But depth is limited by the actual nes tray too, so they all have the same max sizes on all axis.

Little Red Hood is the thickest nes game. It requires you to attach a licensed game to play in the original nes. Top loader works fine.

Here is a pick of the Cart

Basically its the following shape:
___|--

allows for it to be seated in the original nes and a cart to be attached while sticking out the front. So essentially double think. Not thinking you can create a UGC case that maintains the dimensions and can fit that game
