I personally hate them all. If I happen to get a game that has an added "banner" on the cover, I try to do my best to swap it for the original version (I have friends that work in used video game stores), or replace the cover with an original version from this site or something. Some games are only in these versions, such as Pac-Man World 2/ Pac-Man Vs. combo on GameCube. Some games have added features on the GH versions, such as Silent Hill 2 for PS2. The Greatest Hits version has the Xbox version's added features, so I do have that game, but I replaced the cover with a modified version of the Xbox cover, keeping the subtitle "Restless Dreams". Oh and I recently separated Pac-Man Vs. and Pac-Man World 2 using covers from this site.

Greatest Hits are actually the reason I'm on here. I despise seeing those little red logos laughing at me from my display shelf. Didn't actually know that some had extra content though.

I'm with you, they drive me nuts. I hate companies like Capcom, that release a game 6 different times with different content, for different systems, and 3 different cover styles. I go buy Metal Gear Solid 2... Oh, now Substance is exclusive for Xbox... ok, I get that... Oh, now Substance is coming to PS2 with extra content...? Damn. I buy Viewtiful Joe, exclusively for Gamecube... Now the it comes out on PS2. Now the sequel won't be on Gamecube... Damn. That stuff annoys the heck outta me!

We should start a list of games with added content.

Something like this:
Silent Hill 2 (PS2) standard version
Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams (Xbox) added content
Silent Hill 2 (PS2) (Greatest Hits) added content from Xbox version, noted on back cover only

Although Nintendo's GC and GBA Player's Choice branding looks really ugly, PS2 GH looks somewhat elegant and Platinum Hits isn't terrible IMO. What I don't get is people who choose to download a GH/PC/PH cover from here after there is already a regular cover.

Well,

Not sure where each of you live, but where I live those games that comes as GH/PC/PH style, normaly comes way cheaper then the original, so its nice to buy it and grab the original cover here and replace... :)
I did this with a couple...
But yes, I also dont understand why someone would need a GH cover... but if the GH has a diferent content, makes sense keep its cover as GH..

One thing is for sure, the companies enjoys much more those GH/PC/PH games them the players. :)

Fable
Fable: The Lost Chapters

Morrowind
Morrowind: Game of the Year Ed.

Oblivion
Oblivion: Game of the Year Ed.

Gotta give MGS credit on this front. Rather than going with a GH version, they make a subtitle like Substance.
