Does anyone know if there is a company that makes gold casings for NES and SNES games? I have in mind they would look similar to the Duck Tales remastered that was released recently. To me it would be extremely cool to have the best games in Gold and Silver casings. Thoughts?

Company.... Ummm.... Wiggy.... Rose Colored gaming.... However, he doesn't do that kind of stuff on demand. He decides what projects he wants to do. I just know he can do it.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Wiggy was contracted by Capcom to make those DuckTale cartridges and also contracted to keep it a secret.

I've never been able to find a gold paint that was worth a damn.  They just never seem to cure; and using a top coat just means you have two layers of paint that peal off.

Some members here have found good paints.

hmmmm. wheels  are turning.  doubt he has time or wants to but that could be interesting. Why stop at gold? Silver, blue, black, red, etc.    Would love to see Zelda 1&2 in that duck tales type casing. Maybe Metroid and Kid Icarus in a nice silver? Mario in red. DUDE!  Of course that would mean making new labels for everything. Whole thing is really cool to me but realistically probably not happening.

I didn't paint em, but I know who did and what they used. I can also tell you that reproducing such a finish isn't at all difficult for most anyone.  There are a few products that I would use to do the job.  It's not exactly what was used for the DT carts, but is actually a better process which will be more durable in the long run.  I'll post a list of what you need along with pics tomorrow when I'm at my computer.
