Did all of you with bigger hard drives upgrade yourself? If you did, what guides did you use? If not, who did? I don't wanna fux the XBOX so I'm trying to find a place that will do it for me... Not very experienced with modding stuff.

Doom, I'm in the same boat as you. I'm going to buy an additional xbox in case someting goes wrong installing a new bigger hdd. I suggest you do the same.

KaiserWAVE:
A friend of mine modded my Xbox. He did all the soldering "implanting" the mod chip since I don't know how to do that. I watched him doing it and he was done in no more than 10min. Granted he knew what to do but he's no electrician or something. He read about it, tried it, and it worked right from the start. He was the one who talked me through installing the new HDD. It's really nothing more than loosing a few screws, unplug the old HDD, plug in the new one, install a new dashboard (optional but it's a lot more comfortable, I have the Evo X software) and put it all back together. I don't know if I could retrace my steps and do it again on my own but it was really simple with him just pointing at things and telling me what to do :) There's plenty of FAQs and guides as to how to install a new HDD. I'd say read a few of them and I'm sure you'll be able to do it.
Doom:
I dunno, XBOX is like a (low powered in most areas) PC that plugs into a TV, so by that logic change the HD shouldn't be that hard. I've rad a few guides and you need to back up the original HD to the new one for things to work (logically) which seems like a huge pain in the ass, but I'm most squeamish about actually opening it up and replacing it. Backup can be done over FTP which I'm a pro at thanks to Snowcone!

If I bite the bullet and actually do it I'll definitely record the whole thing.
