My controllers are removable which is good because one of my controllers doesn't work correctly. The controller port is the same shape as a Genesis or Atari 2600 controller, but the pinout is not the same. I’m going to try to re-wire an old Genesis or Master System controller and see if I can make it work as a substitution. I also read that the composite video out mod is really easy for this system. I’m planning on doing that as well. Neither project is top priority right now as I still need to replace the capacitors in my Game Gear. The projects never end. ;) |

If you have removable joysticks then I think you have the same odd video plug I have\had. You can get DB9 to RJ45 connectors for both mail and female, make them straight pin outs, and you can then make "Ethernet cables" that work both as extensions and converters. I've not ran into any issues with doing this so far on any systems (Cable length, ect). Edit: so much for direct linking to dropbox |
