What do you think about the new video game trade-in service at Wal-Mart? Will you use it?

Means nothing for me for obvious reason, but maybe they pay better buck than lameflop or others.
Otherwise it's very iffy if this is successful.

Lol i knew you guys wouldn't trade anything in to them, but would you buy from them?
It might make gamestop pay more and charge less because the threat of going out of bussiness.

Lol, I wouldn't...all the Walmarts by me are horrible places to shop...except maybe 1.  But that place is the last place I would ever go for electronics.

The last time we bought an electronic there it was a PS2 for my brothers bday (back around the time that they were selling out fairly quickly everywhere and Walmart was the only place with stock)  We bought it, brought it home and found out that it was a severely dusty system that wouldn't even read discs...but everything else in the box was brand new.  When we went to return it we had to argue and fight because they were telling ME that I did that and that I was trying to get one over on the store.......

So I'd rather just stick with gamestop lol

Walmart is probably the worst big box store to buy games from. The decision to accept trades will not change that.
My DS Cover Requests: Anno 1701, A Witch's Tale, A Witch's Wish, Black Sigil, Dynasty Warriors, Flower Sun and Rain, Mage Knight Destiny's Soldier, n+, Time Ace

The only time I would ever consider wal mart to trade in my games is if they give me a significant amount more than what gamestop would give me for a given game

This so much. My last visit to my local Walmart to purchase a game required me to get the person running the photo center to frantically try and find the person running the electronics section, only to find they were out to lunch, then the photo person trying to find the person "covering" the electronics section to the person out to lunch, only to find out they didn't have the keys to the display cases. Finally having to have a manager come out to get the game for me, and sadly this is a regular thing at my Walmart. I would imagine the process for trade-ins at my store would be even more rage inducing.

It would be interesting to see what the trade-in values will be though.

Definitely not, plus it'll probably be pretty identical to Best Buy's version where they take any shovel ware there is and try to price it like a nearly new game.

If its anything close to what gamestop offers, its going to be crap unless its a newly released title

Eh.  I won't trade (I never trade) but I may buy.  I never EVER buy from Game stop on the grounds I refuse to give them money.  So I get all my new stuff from Best buy and all my used from Gamefly.  That said, once in a while Walmart has some good low prices that I'm happy to pay.  I hope this works, just so there's more competition in the used game market.

Best Buy is apparently offering $40 for Forza 5, $38 for Ryse...GS isn't offering anywhere NEAR that.  If Walmart goes the BB route, it will be very interesting to see.

I jusT checked with game stop and walmart offers a lot more in credit (almost double) than gamestop does.

I don't patronize Wal-Fart.
