| Two PS3 Headsets Possible? |
| (1/1) |

I only use my PS3 to watch Blu-ray movies. I bought this headset and it works great: http://www.gamestop.com/ps3/accessories/playstation-3-wireless-stereo-headset/91191 Only problem is that I watch movies all the time and have long marathons. I am a horror fan, so I will watch 7-8 movies back to back and I have to let this thing charge for a long time. I lost the instructions, but I know they said you cannot have more than one of THESE hooked up to your PS3 at the same time. What if I buy this headset? http://www.gamestop.com/accessories/playstation-gold-wireless-headset/113756 Can I just swap between my current headset and the Gold headset when one is about out of battery life and let it charge as I use the next one? Or can I just buy a second identical headset to the one I have and swap them? What is my best option? Remember my goal is to watch many movies for many longs hours without having to take a break to let the headset charge - I want to have one headset charging while I am using another if possible, but I am scared to throw away $100 because I know I remember those instructions saying I could only have one headset. Please keep in mind I have a PS3, NOT a PS4 (The gold says you can use two on a PS4) Also, I only want official Sony Headsets. |

I was thinking the PS3 only allowed one Bluetooth at a time for headsets, so you'd need to pair\unpair. I know you said only sony, but I'm going to give a shout out for the turtle beach xp500, I use mine for 5-6 hours a day (I'm on the phone a LOT for work). It remembers 2 Bluetooth devices plus has a wired transmitter for other types of audio, and uses AA batteries, so you can swap out rechargeable for it. |

I could not pair both and just use one at a time? |

I'd have to do more research but if I remember correctly the limitation is just based on how many bluetooth devices the ps3 can save before needing to reprogram. The ps3 can store info for up to 7 bluetooth devices (including controllers and remotes). I'm pretty sure you can have multiple bluetooth headsets programed at once to one machine (using them at the same time is a different story). When you unplug the headset once the battery dies can it be charged via any usb port? If so I would think you can just charge it from a separate device (laptop or something) and turn the second headset on. |

Depending on the type of audio output you are using, you can just buy either and optical out or hdmi splitter and have one go to each headset. That way while one is charging you can use the other. Never actually tried it but it would work in principal. |
