thanks guys!, keep the suggestions coming! as this was an ebay purchase it came with a few games, so far i have; jurassic park castle of illusion dick tracy batman returns the terminator the ninja aerial assault golden axe sonic the hedgehog dr. robotniks mean bean machine super monaco gp 2 added these suggestions; land of illusion legend of illusion fantasy zone 1 + 2 sensible soccer wonderboy 3: the dragons trap wonderboy in monsterland ninja gaiden gauntlet outrun (outrun europa, not a suggestion, ran into it on youtube) i'll do a bit more YT research on some of the other suggestions |

Asterix is also a ton of fun. I like shinobi and sonic the hedgehog 2 as well. |

All the suggestions so far are right on the money. But one game that no one has mentioned so far is Phantasy Star. Probably the best rpg on the system and has surprisingly held up well. Just recently played it a few months ago and it is still a fun game to play |
