Due to the covers being so different for almost each Master System game, I've tried to come up with a sort of template for a custom, uniform Master System "look."  These covers are nothing crazy.  They're just more uniform.

As I am the only person I know who collects for SMS, I don't have anyone else to critique the covers I've been making for my collection.  I'd love feedback and suggestions.

Here are some samples:

Asterix

Alex Kidd in Miracle World

Alex Kidd in Shinobi World

Alex Kidd: High-Tech World

Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars

Double Dragon

Golden Axe Warrior

Master of Darkness

Ninja Gaiden

Out Run

Outrun Europa

Phantasy Star

Rastan

I really like your covers  :) I happen to collect Master System games too but sadly all I find in the wild are sport titles and the Safari game...
Snes is Best.

They look great.  This was what I was going to do before I decided to go for the full set, and stay true to retail.  The only thing I would change is the master system logo on the spine -  either just stick with sega, or go for the modern logo  - as seen on the spine here.  http://199.101.98.242/media/shots/88868-Aerial_Assault_(Europe)-2.jpg

I've rebuilt that logo if you want me  to send you a clean version of it.  That old underline red master system always looked like it was designed by a 4 year old to me. Lol

Thanks!  I've fortunately been very lucky with finding Master System games in the wild.  About a year ago, I found Golden Axe Warrior and Alex Kidd in Shinobi World for $5 each.

Lol.  There's alot about those SMS covers that look like they were designed by 4 year olds.  If you could send me that logo, that would be great.  I'd like to keep something "Master System" on the spine, but I'll do whatever everyone wants. I'm just looking for uniformity!

LOL - here you go
https://app.box.com/s/v43khljtzx9fc9a5nk90

my preference is for the mk 1 'clipart' covers, but with a game name logo, and this SMS logo on the spine.  I love what you've done with the backs.
but really don't take my opinion into count, as I said - i've decided to go retail.

SMS is my favourite console for nostalgic reasons.

Thanks, sheep.  I like that logo, too.  I'll switch it on my covers, then proceed with the rest of my collection.  Thanks for the input!

I never had a Master System growing up, but picked one up about a year ago on the cheap and have loved it ever since.  I love playing these colorful, 8-bit games I never even knew existed.
