So! As several of you know I am working on the GB/GBC/GBA game cases, these should be out soon! However, in the mean time, all sorts of people are talking about a creation of a GG case. So I have created this thread to use as a discussion board on the creation of the GG Cases.  ;)

I am a Nintendo guy myself and have only played the GG about a dozen times in my life.

So the first few items I want to hash out on this are:
1.) What size should the cases be?
2.) What features would you like it to have?
3.) What color (or colors) should the cases come in?
4.) How many would you want to purchase?

This case was honestly number 5-6 on my list of cases I'm going to create, but IF we can hash this out I might make these my next cases to create.

1. I would like them DS size myself. I don't own any manuals though. They may need to be closer to psp case size.
2. nothing fancy. A place for a cart, and tabs for a manual
3. Black
4. I probably have 50+ GG games that need cased

Manuals don't fit in a PSP case - they are 10.5 x 14.9 cm (the same as a master system manual)

Wouldn't need anything fancy - just hold cart securely, and fit the manual comfortably without bending.  The same style as your DS cases are fine - but preference would be in the same style as a Genesis/Megadrive case if it didn't push the price up considerably.  So i guess ideally same height/depth as Genesis/Megadrive case, but with a spine of about 2cm

I would be in for 50 to start.

Wonderswan games are exactly the same width - so if the clips to hold the cart could also be used for those it would make them a much more viable option.

All this, but black or clear color, each day I like more the clear one cause you can put inlays on them. But blacks are great ;D

Don't make a case, make an adapter that mounts inside a UGC.  It's be a mostly flat piece with slots so the UGC's tabs holds it in place, and in the middle it holds the GG cart.

1.) Just enough big to fit manual and cart, but doesn't waste space.
2.) holding clips for different size manuals (sizes range from smaller than famicom to almost SNES size).
3.) (in order of preference): Black, clear, blue.
4.) Couple hundred at the moment. Depending on price break points might buy quite a few for just in case.

Ignore this.
We need cases that don't waste space.
UGCs are waste of space for Game Gear games.

:( Friendly way of wording that.

But if you're worrying about space, that's why most of us use DS cases for GG and store manuals elsewhere. So this case would be for those who want manuals with the games and don't mind wasting height.  SAG just started making his manual solution optional due to demand, so this would be more of a niche product.

Besides, aren't we lacking GG covers?  I made all my own just so I could get them to match style wise.

Game gear, TG-16, and Swan.  That would be awesome.

Wonderswan games are exactly the same width - so if the clips to hold the cart could also be used for those it would make them a much more viable option.

So a few things: 1.) Thank you for the booklet sizes: 10.5 x 14.9 cm does anyone know if they get any bigger than this?
2.) Color, the cool thing about the mould factory I'm dealing with is that they can do small batches of different colors, I think the min. is like 10,000pcs. So I COULD do like a SEGA Blue and a purple wonderswan, or clear, or black.... or have all 4 as options. :) I'd be able to build this out once I re-coop the mould cost then I really don't mind keeping a little bit of everything in stock ;)

3.) TG-16 & WonderSwan: So the TG-16 looks like a thin credit card chip like thing :) and the WonderSwan looks like a larger version of a gameboy advance game.
So the first question is: Do we want the WonderSwan in a GB/GBC/GBA like case?
Question two: Would we want the TG-16 in a thiner case? It looks to be like 4 times thinner than a GG game cart.

Just wonderin'

Thanks!

TG-16s are in CD jewel cases, so to make them match "boxes" you'd want one like that.

1: I know DS cases don't fit  GG manuals.

Hence my reply on what size these cases should be:

1.) Just enough big to fit manual and cart, but doesn't waste space.

Nope these are not jjust niche cases.
And if the are done they should be done properly in correct size.
