Sega GG Cases (Time to Create)
Ektophase:
Not sure if its possible but it may also be nice to fit the GG official clam shell in somewhere/how, probably not a big deal though. (I have 8 games and most of them have the shells)
I wouldn't go out of your way for the TG16 Hucard, we already have two cases for these that are also larger than the original TG16 jewel case(the DVD and 8dp which can also hold TG16CD/Duo games plus manuals, and the smaller Hucard only minidvd/card case). I think we only really need a standard jewel case size case for these now and there have been talks of just remaking the official tray already.
Also the TG16 manual is 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" so it wont fit the width of the GG box.
Not trying to be negative here, If you can get the Hucard in this case nicely without compromising the GameGear objective then that would be a nice bonus.

OK! So today I went by and stopped at my local "Retro" Game Store and picked up: TG-16 HuCARD, a Game Gear cart, and boxed FF WonderSwan and an Atari Lynx game.
I think I have come up with a way to house all 4 of these types of games within 1 case!
So taking the original GG box sizes I cut a peice of paper to the proper size and started to play around and have come up with the following...
The yellow highlighted area is where the GG cart will go. The 2 lines on either side represent where the clips will be to secure the game in place. Both bottom clips will have a small tongue to allow the games bottom to "rest" while held in place.
It just so happens that the WonderSwan game will be able to also use the GG clips to keep it securely in the case as well!
Next item is the TG-16. What I was thinking would be to place above where the gg games top hits and right below the bottom of where the gg/swan game rests to place DS clip-like clips to secure the TG-16 card in place.
If I make the gg bottom clips right, the HuCARD will pass right between the gg clips and fit snugly on the DS like clips intended for it.
Then lastly the Atari Lynx game cart.... This took a few mins to figure out.... but then I realized we have SPACE if we make the case spine 1 inch! So I came up with this!
What I will to is closer to the top of the game, on either side, will be two clips (Like the gg clips) And I will add a plastic bar closer to the top of the case that will catch the two lips on the back of the game cart, keeping it from sliding down the case. and the cases top will prevent it from sliding off that way.
So a 4 game cart case in one.... Comments?

I like the idea of being able to house tg16/sega card games - but looks like they won't fit whilst in their protective sleeve? Also the 1 inch spine for these cards would be a little overkill, as it's a far cry from their retail case size. I don't know what size a lynx box is.
I know the idea here is to make a case that covers as many possibilities in 1 hit to make them easier to shift, but if it takes the dimensions too far away from the games retail size it could be a wasted effort.
For me a decent GG case is reason enough to buy, and the fact that swan games are the same width is a bonus. Perhaps clips for the neo geo pocket would be a better fit?
Ektophase:
I have to agree with sheep the more I think about it, I don’t think many people are going to want to put these small games in such a thick case except for GG because of the box. That's a clever layout concept though.
I still think it may be better to go with the 1 inch thickness still but instead go up to 5"x7"ish
and you could try and fit these.
GameGear the only box that gets ramped up a bit but then matches other sega cartridges
Master System
Genesis
32X
Edit: deleted other systems I mentioned (probably wouldn't work)

Well if you had to go for combo cart slots to move more I would do it a different way. GameGear , Lynx and Swan all have similar dimensions so pair those. TG16 and NeoGeo are both squarish so pair those.
As a consumer, in a perfect world, I'd like to see the GG in a separate case.
