Not exactly what I wanted to hear, but nice to know that it is a waist of time and money to hunt retro games in nyc. I was really hoping to finally get chrono trigger, super mario rpg and mega man 6, since these games never made their way to Europe. C'est la vie. :)
The stores I found chargede more for standard games than any retro shop I have come across in Europe, which was a bit of a chock. I have always thought of the States as the best an cheapest place to go retro hunting - apparently that does not go for New York.
Appreciate the help, thanks. :)

There are some great places in the states to buy games for cheap...just not NY lol.

I know some in Stamford that are good, but they seem to be over a hour away, good store for higher end games, got a 32X for $40, not the best for stuff under $4.
Retro Games Plus has 2 locations. Google it.

yeah the place on ST. Marks is a little pricy but they do have some ok prices. VG New York is a little better. I have found some good deals there.

New York City is the most expensive city in the US. About the worst place to buy anything as a tourist :(
