I'm not against emulation per say, but I'm not interested in spending a shit ton of money on a rig to play old games either. Take the RetroN 5 for example, it'll do pretty much everything I'll want it to do for only $100. Plays the original carts, uses the original controllers, and is a simple plug-and-play system. But it maximizes the output of graphics that are already there and makes them presentable on an HDTV. I was recently looking into emulating PS1 and PS2 games. The hardware required to run them in HD would cost about $700, fuck that noise. Not to mention I wouldn't know what the hell I'm doing. |
