Not really a pick up but had a bit of free time, patience and courage to finally get this done lol (Not to mention it's going to be a slow month(s) in that I don't have much left to spend on games lol)



With the help of an old pc, old external hdd that I can no longer find the power supply for and the internetz I managed to softmod and upgrade my good ol Xbox.

Ran into a few problems but nothing a little searching couldn't fix.  Also took me practically a whole day to ftp over the CoinOps stuff onto the Xbox...60 gigs was no joke :\

Ditto for me. I started this about 5 years ago but go sidetracked, lol. 2/3 of my xboxes are already modded.

Lol, I ended up using 2 written guides and a youtube vid for the softmod alone and a written guide and now that I think about it, I also used a youtube vid for the hdd swap also.

When I get home I'll have to find them again since stupid me I never saved the bookmarks.  I'll just have to check my history.  Then I'll pm you 2 the full list of everything I ended up using.  It was a bit overwhelming at first but mainly because so many guides weren't detailed or incomplete.

Coin Ops is not too difficult to install from what I remember, but then again it has been over 4 years since I did mine. I remember just going on youtube and finding a tutorial on how to do it. But it is well worth it since it is convenient mame emulation.
