Some more Saturn stuff
argobeat:
great job on the saturn covers guys!
Space Paranoids:
Hi, I've been around for quite a while using the Saturn covers for my collection, but haven't posted much until now. I put together a custom Panzer Dragoon cover a while ago, and I was wondering if it's up to the site's standards.

I'm new to this, so I'd appreciate any advice or criticism anyone could offer. Thanks!

It's not bad for your first try. It's good enough that some sites in the web would host it, but just below standard for TCP.
Right off hand I can point out a couple of things.
1. Remove the U.S. or the JP logos and info. Go with one or the other not both.
2. When saving in JPG, choose the highest possible quality. I can see some tell-tell pixilation that is usually generated when the JPEG is no saved in high quality (around the dragon's tail).
3. Try to use a little feathering when erasing background. The area around the dragon's wing and tail are a bit rough.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll work on what you mentioned and see if I can't get it a little slicker.
One clarification on what you said about the US/JP logos: The look I was trying to go for was a US-region cover but with the Japanese hand-drawn cover art. Which logos and info were you referring to exactly?
One I see is the blue Japanese text box (ratings info?) in the bottom corner. I wanted to get rid of that originally, but I don't know how to fill the space it leaves. I even found a copy of the original image without any logos, but it was far too low-res. In the end, I couldn't think of any way to cover the hole except putting something like the ESRB rating over it, which would be off from its usual positioning. Do you have any suggestions on how to deal with that?
I could also erase the orange Japanese sub-text under the logo, and I guess it would be nice if the cover logo and the spine logo matched a little better. Was there anything besides that?
Oh, one thing I meant to say earlier was that the spine and back are placeholders, since I just lifted them directly off of the DVD cover that's now on the site. If the back is already what I'm going for, is it all right for me to use it, or should I make my own from the raw scan so I'm not ripping off whoever originally made the cover? UPDATE: I just realized that you are the one who made that cover. So, do you mind if I use the back that you made? And what is the general TCP policy on that?
Well, thanks again for your help. I hope that I'll be able to make some small contribution at some point!
