I must have put over 20 hours of work into this one, but I am finally done!.. The entire front was re-traced  being that Vector-magic did not quite cut it. Also retype the entire text (word by word) for better quality.

P.S. THIS IS MY 600th POST!!!  ;D

Looks nice and clean. Bet you had fun typing in the multi-languages...thats so much fun!! ;). Probably not a good time to mention it but i have Keio 2 and could have scanned it and saved that insane amount of work time. Good work anyway!!

I've been at AWA 14, so that's why I haven't done anything in a while. Got a new Saturn game there while I was there, so I'll make a cover for it eventually. It's pretty high on my list after playing it a little while with a friend. (Prikura Daisakusen)

Btw, that is some epic work Vt. Now I need to get Keio Flying Squadron... of course, I needed to get it regardless.

Prikura is a damn nice game and I highly recommend it to anybody. It blends genres together very well, although it is more shmup than anything else. It's just two tons of fun.

Thanks for your cover for Magical Hoppers the7k. I love that game, and your cover looks great as always. I'll have to check out Prikura Daisakusen. You say its a shmup that blends genres. What else is it? It looks like an RTS from the screenshots.

Need some help on this one.

Been working on an Akumajo Dracula X cover but still need a good scan of the rear. Can anyone who has the game, scan the back of it and up it to the RAW files?

Thanks in advance.

P.S. Here's a preview.

satoshi: It's like a shmup meets isometric platformer (a la Sonic 3D Blast, although it plays much smoother, in my opinion). If you shoot enemies to death, they turn into animals (which you need to collect), if you smash them with your hammer, they blow up, which can cause chain reactions that make enemies drop gems (which you also need to collect).

You also have a little egg that follows you around that will turn into different creatures depending on how you play with branching paths. It's pretty challenging, but it may have just been due to screwing around with the options and setting it to hard by accident. Graphics are freaking beautiful, and the boss battles are epic.

I wish I could help with the scan.  I'm no expert in Japanese, but I just want to point something out.  I'm not sure how this works, but according to http://castlevania.classicgaming.gamespy.com/games.html there are some games which are Akumajo and some which are Akumajou.  For Symphony of the Night, Akumajou is used.

VT! Have you worked on any of the other covers I scanned? All of the Japanese ones are the ones I'm talking about. lol. You have done all of my US ones I believe.

Just checking. I have about 7 more JP Saturn games to scan in and then I am going to start scanning in my PS1 games.

Let me know!  ;D

Well technically none of them are either "Akumajou" or "Akumajo" - it's always written, as in the logo, 悪魔城 (or あくまじょう, if you use hiragana). The most "accurate" way to transcribe it using Roman letters IMO is Akumajou, or Akumajô; showing that the o at the end of word is long - which "Akumajo" does not. In any event, both spellings you mentioned are used frequently, and neither would be considered incorrect - it may be worth to keep in mind the various ways to transcribe words when searching for pictures of pretty much anything with a Japanese name.

On a related note - I'm working on a custom cover for the JP PS version for my own personal use, but I haven't been able to find a decently high resolution picture of the logo. Would you mind posting the one from your cover?

I have been working on a couple of them. Got the front of SD Gundam finished, but like with most JP games, the back takes a long time to do.
