I know this is off topic, but did you guys know that Grandia was one of the first games to have voice actors in it?

I don't know if you're talking to anyone in particular, but since I've never played the Saturn or PS1 versions, I couldn't tell you.

Did not know about that wiki page, thanks Doom. I'll give it a once over soon enough.

As for Saturn vs PS1 on Grandia, the PS1 version is the only one to get translated. So yeah, you should go for that one if you can afford it. However, I managed to snag Grandia on the Saturn for $0.01 on eBay, so there's always that factor going for it.

And I'd suppose this covers all the Saturn Lunars. Well, at least all the ones I have. This is the version of Lunar SSS that doesn't require an MPEG card to play, so it doesn't look as good but I'm not sure if you can play the Complete version on a US Saturn...

the7k, if I upload the raws for Sexy Parodius and Super Adventure Rockman today, can you work on them in this same style before you go back to college? If so, I'll have them up in a few hours.

I can give it a shot, but work has been killing me lately. Now that they know I'll be leaving for college in 5 days, they're trying to work me like a mule to get as much labor out of me.

I'll at least try to do the Sexy Parodius Cover, but just so you know, I actually made the Chatting Parodius cover from images inside the instruction manual, so if you see any good images in there, upload those as well.

Just so you know, these are the games that are on their way that I'll be making covers for as soon as I get them.

Galaxy Fight
Eva to Yukai na Nakamatachi
Magical Hoppers
Master of Monsters
Dead or Alive
Langrisser 3
Neon Genesis Evangelion
AnEarth Fantasy Stories
Puyo Puyo Sun
Princess Maker - Fairy Tales Come True
Ninku

btw, it's not that I can't work on these at college, I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't be bring any fragile jewel cases to college is all. I can (and will) still make covers while I'm up there.

Galaxy Fight

The "spiritual ancestor" to Waku Waku 7 and Astra Super Stars, it's far from the worst fighter you can get for your Saturn. Also, it's one of the few non-Capcom fighters to make it to America! This one just came in with the case today.

Just something I've been pondering, how exactly do you guys get around the multi-disc game issue for imports like Grandia and Lunar 2 on a US/PAL Saturn? I don't exactly trust myself with a soldering kit, so I'm thinking I may just buy a Japanese Saturn; they do look classy after all. SEGA SATURN SHIRO!

I got a Action Replay 4M Auto Plus(be sure to get the newest version).....

This is not only an import enabler but also an automatically switching 1MB and 4MB Ram expansion and a 4MB backup RAM..... The only thing that would be recommended is to install a 50/60Hz switch if you got a PAL Saturn....

I fitted a region selector and 50/60 hz switch to my PAL version. Works well unless the game was optimized for 50 hz (very rare)or has a synched soundtrack.

I've already got the 4M Action Replay, it's just that it doesn't allow the playing of multi-disc games from what people have told me. For instance, you'll get to the very end of disc one on Grandia, Lunar 2, Quovadis 2, etc and then your SOL, because the region changes back to it's native region when you open the tray. Can't even begin to play disc 2.

If I do get a Japanese Saturn, I'd better make sure it has the MPEG card so I can play Lunar Complete and a few other games.

Gholla20: Yeah, I ordered Eva, but it hasn't arrived yet. It may take a while.

Japanese Saturns should be dirt cheap. Granted, between greedy online sellers and shipping fees, I'm not sure what you'd end up with, but in Japanese stores a complete boxed Saturn in good condition is usually around $10, $20 at the most.

While I've been able to find decently cheap Japanese Saturns (about $40), the shipping is always more than that, usually somewhere around $60; so, that's $100+. I somehow get the feeling that shipping amount is being inflated though, because I've had bigger and more fragile stuff send from Japan for cheaper than that.
