For websites I like http://backloggery.com/ . (It's down for maintenance until Monday) Not only can you add anything to your collection, you can keep track of if you have beaten or completed a game (or mark it null if you don't want it taken into your averages for games beaten) and it tells you really clearly how many games you have left on one console or total. Really like it.

I use an online website -- which may not be as detailed as Gamespot, et al., but nonetheless has all the features I need.

http://www.gurulib.com

Its for much more than video games.

Buy a 10 buck cue cat scanner from ebay, and import them all via barcode.

If you have a Mac, there is absolutely NO better program than Delicious Library. It's $40, but it's 100% worth it. It has a beautiful interface, and it catalogues not only games, but Movies, Books, and Music as well. It searches Amazon as well, but one awesome feature this program has is that if you have a webcam, you can use it to scan the barcode to enter it in. It works amazingly well, and it has every feature you could possibly imagine wanting. If you can't find your game on Amazon, you can add it in manually, but I haven't had to do that yet.

Plus, the coolest feature (IMO) is the interface. It allows you to view your library in a list form, OR it displays each item's coverart arranged on a shelf.

For your money, this is by far the best program there is. You can check out the free trial on their website, and you won't be dissapointed.
