Universal Sega Cover thread in UGC

All we need now is to fix up the Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic Spinball, Sonic 3D Blast and Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine and the entire Genesis Sonic Colection will be complete!

I realise there is no Mean Bean Machine scan, but I can provide one. I don't know how good it would come out, since I don't have the best scanner in the world.

i'm currently working on sonic & knuckles and i'll finish up the rest if the sonic games probably on sunday.

deffinately do scan in "mean bean machine" and i'll make a cover of that too
(300dpi or 600dpi and if possible use the derasterize option)

as far as the logo goes, i probably will end up using the logo from your link.
i made that cover prior to searching through that wonderful Sonic sight you linked me to.

Wow. I'm glad I recomended that logo to you. It looks alot better now...if that is even possible. The lighter sky is a nice plus too.

Looks great. Maybe I could make a request now that there is a Mega Drive template. Could you make a cover for Universal Soldier? It's the only MD game I don't have a cover for, but since people don't know that this game is basically a port of Turrican 2 form the Amiga with just slight changes here and there nobody gives a damn You could use the DVD artwork form the movie. Should be easy to find. And if you feel like it, you could make the cover fit an original MD case as I don't have any UGCs.

do you know what the deminsions are of a normal genesis cover?
i don't have any of my genesis game with me and won't for about another month.

Yeah like the movie Maybe that's why nobody cares because everyone thinks it's a crappy movie-to-game-adaption of a B-movie while it's actually a port of a great game, which was renamed and slightly altered for marketing purposes.

I don't know the measurements, and if I did it would be in cm rather than inch or even pixel. I can easily wait a month, the game is not going anywhere and it's been without cover for about 5 years now.

As always, excelent work. I'd praise you some more, but I'm a bit tired right now. So, heres some things that I'd change.

Your Ristars cases are wonderful, but they both have the same screen shots in the back. It should have screen shots taken from thier own game.

I like the Spinball change, but then I don't. The Robotnik in the original looked better, but I do like having a option on witch Robotnik I can choose. I'd suggest doing two cases: One with the Genesis Robotnik, and one with Game Gear Robotnik.

Everything else is wonderful. Keep up the good work!

i was planning on fixing the screenshots for the GG version of Ristar, i just wanted to show a preview before class started.

I really do like the "cartoon series version" of Robotnik i used.
I like the look, its a nice clean image and had no front logo (so i could put it anywhere).
i'll see what i can do with the original GEN artwork as an alternate front.

hey shenske, i have a couple of genesis raws that i've cleaned up somewhat, but if you want i can upload them for you to use.  i would try to finish them up and submit them myself, but my skills do not match yours and you'd make them look the way they should. let me know if you want me to upload them, and if you do i'll upload them hopefully sometime this week.
