1x Saturn controller - no generics
4x Gamecube wired controllers - no generics
1x Dreamcast VMU - no generics
1x XBOX xomponent cables - by Microsoft or Monster only
1x better Gamecube AV cable (something better than the composite cable but I'm not willing to pay $150 for a Gamecube component cable)

4x Gamecube controller extension cables

2x XBOX controller extension cables

Message me with a price. Thanks.

For the GCN your only other option would be s-video, just so you know what you're looking for ;)

$150... for a cable? I had no idea GC component cables were so expensive!

Yes, and they are getting even more expensive. I remember not too long ago when the going rate was only 80 bucks. now its almost double

Has anybody tried one of these Dreamcast cables?

http://hyperkin.com/index.php/sega/dreamcast/dreamcast-tomee-high-definition-vga-cable.html

And is the difference as dramatic as they make it out to be on HD televisions?

And your choice for S-video is either $100 for a monster or $5 for a generic one that doesn't work. Maybe I'll just stick to composite.

If you just want to play GCN games in 480p then grab a 1st gen Wii if you don't already have one.

It's noticeable, but there are some compatibility issues with certain games (VGA compatibility that is, not issues with that specific cable).

You can get actual Nintendo brand S-vid cables on ebay for around 30 bucks.  The trick is to search for SNES S-vid cables for sale by japanese sellers.  Monster is 100000% a massive waste of money.  There are other brand cables that do actually have S-vid wired properly, but it's something of a crap shoot in the age of buying online :/

I got a vga box for my dreamcast and the difference is very noticeable...although I honestly don't believe that it's as that much better as those pictures are making it out to be.  I'm thinking those images are from an emulator since it looks way to clean.

I agree in that it makes a difference, but don't be expecting HD quality visuals like those screenshots displayed.

I do, but I'm rearranging the game room so that each console generation gets a TV from that generation, and I'd like each to be as good visually as possible. In this case, I might just give up if I can't find a cable for $20 or so.

Finding it for $20 would have to be a Goodwill store or pawn shop deal at this point.  EVERYONE knows that they're worth a ton now :(

Either way, good luck!

Thanks for your thoughts on the Tomee Dreamcast cable. I'll pick one up for sure.
