Fake Wii Games / Wrong Region?
Sai:
I know this is an odd place to put this topic but I figured a lot of guys here have experience with cover art/labels.
I bought a bundle of Wii games on eBay from a seller in the U.K. The games did not come with the cases or manuals.
I have tried to play all 16 games and I can't get a single game to register in my U.S. Wii. The first thing I noticed about the discs is that they all look different than a standard NTSC label. First off, some of the labels have "DVD ROM D9 on the label. Secondly, they all have a box with colored number of varying sorts with the "Wii" mark. On one it says "RVLU 3311." On another it says "Wii - 0062."
The labels say they are NTSC and for use only in USA, Canada, Mexico and Latin America. I have included some pictures. They are the best quality my camera can do.
Anyone have any idea what is going on?

The Bigs might be fake.
the artwork is horrible with the main title logo covered up everywhere.
I don't think a commercial release would be that bad (still possible though).
Since Madden is fake i wouldn't surprise me if his was fake too.
madden 07 is fake or its a burnt copy intended to play on a modded system.
the bottom white curve is a dead give away that it uses a custom printed cover.
none of the commercial releases (at least that i have in th U.S.) have that curve.
Also, there is no ESRB rating on the disc.
Unfortunately i think you may have gotten jipped! :'(
edit: I typed "DVD ROM D9" into google and it had a bunch of links describing it as a type of backup disc.
Which confirms that they are indeed fakes.
Bungleboss:
All fakes. The ROM D9 is a dead give-away. Do a Google search and look what you find.
Unfortunatly, you just got mugged on ebay.
Sai:
Thank you for the quick replies. I suspected they were fakes but just wanted to be sure. I have used eBay extensively and checked out the seller thoroughly. There wasn't a single red flag. Sometimes you just never know.....
In any case, I protected myself by using PayPal and making sure the transaction qualified for reimbursement. Hopefully everything works out.
Thanks again.

I've just had a look through the ntsc wii games on ebay uk and reported quite a few for being quite blatantly fakes.
GBA carts are worse. I reckon about 99% of ebay gba carts are Chinese knockoffs. Unfortunatly, I don't have a week free to report them all.
