Hey everyone! new person to the forums and just started collecting games not to long ago. anyway down to the question, recently i bought some famicom games some in CIB and some loose. i was wondering how people store their loose famicom games? i would like to find a case for them to protect them. i read that people have used cassette tape cases. thank for the help!

A little foam and some hot glue will do the trick.

You could use foam padded adhesive strips. I use them to reduce the jostle, and if I cut out the inside for an NES cart, I'll use them to pad the cartridge out away from the rough plastic.

For example:

One of our members, Seymor onion, has designed some cases specifically sized for famicom carts, but they have not yet gone into production.  I have a  huge pile of famicom carts waiting for his cases.

Famicom games are the same size (roughly) as a cassette case, so they will fit in a cassette rack, but not in an actual tape case.

they're also almost the exact same size as Sega Genesis/MegaDrive games. You can buy awful sports games on the cheap and steal their cases if you don't have a trillion Famicom carts.

^^^ I know that would bug the heck out of me. Sure I'm not carrying them all over town and shaking them about, but even pulling Genesis games off the shelf annoys me sometimes, as they also tend to clunk around a good amount :(

Never knew this. Good call ;)

I was thinking 16 disc poly cases or something, I got around 150 Famicom games coming in, and I need to save shelf space.

somewhere in my project thread I posted a pic of a couple of Famicom games in DS cases, thats what I use, you basically have to hollow out the insides, but they fit fine...

...I should point out though that I live in England, so I use the fatter Euro sized DS cases...
