I think that Nintendo is going to try to model themselves after Apple. And I think it's going to fail.

I remember Rare (makers of Donkey Kong Country) complaining that Nintendo wanted to compete with Playstation, so they requested allowed the release of Conker's Bad Fur Day. However, Nintendo did very little to market the game. Honestly, I never heard of it until I started researching games online (around 1999/2000.) I gave up on Nintendo because I wanted DK64 but it took forever to release it. When it was released, the backgrounds/images look like Banjo Kazooie leftovers. I bought a PlayStation and never purchased from Nintendo again. I just bought a wii-u last year. First product purchased from Nintendo snce N64 days. In other words, Nintendo has the worst marketing department on the planet.

have't seen the firgurines in Deutschland but i'll keep my eyes open for them.

BS. allowing it to be released despite the "family" image is the same as requesting. semantics. piff.

if Nintendo didn't want it, you wouldn't see it.

by the way, i'm a little drunk. the sentence is awful. Rare requested the release and Nintendo allowed it (although employees at Rare say that it was a battle.)

I'm not going to spend the time to read your post as the scans are too low res but in a recent interview with Chris Seavor, he simply stated that the game started off like Banjo and evolved because it was too similar to Banjo. He never states that it was request by Nintendo. The idea that Nintendo requested Conker (or at least the foul mouth version) contradicts everything Nintendo stands for. However he does state that Nintendo didn't want to publish it... etc...
