So, I received my new promo case today. All that I have to say is WOW! :o

I did a stress test without any breaking, The color is spot on. It nicely fits the bigger Pokemon manuals, the sleeve is tighter than the first one,  and since the logo is now printed instead of cut out it seems a lot stronger!

I honestly see no problems with this batch. I'm so ready to get these in!

Awesome, I gotta order some of these  ;D

;D Glad you like it. I felt the same way. I was pretty blown away with how they came out.

... :) The first batch was fully paid for this afternoon, it looks like they will be arriving in Los Angels in 18 days.... then a 2-3 day clearance/ delivery to me. (So it looks like these will be shipping BEFORE May!)

I also received a sample today (very quick shipping by the way!). I didn't have one of the previous batch to compare it with, but I can confirm that this is a very very impressive case. I've tried DS cases, off-brand gray DS cases, clear EU DS cases, 3DS cases and off-brand 3DS cases, and these are extremely high quality - pretty much up there with the official DS cases.

Let's start with the basics. Build quality is excellent, and I encountered no breaking, cracking or warping whatsoever. The sleeve feels strong and well attached, like the official DS cases. The logo on the inside is nice and doesn't detract from the look or build quality.

The color is pretty much spot on to official DS cases. You can see Shadowfox's case between Diddy Kong Racing and Phantom Hourglass, which are both in original cases. It lines up perfectly!

The clips for the manuals are tight enough to hold some of my thinnest manuals (like Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis), but flexible enough to hold thicker ones as well. And there is room for the larger manuals like Pokemon Red/Blue Trainer's Guides, which fits perfectly.

Of course Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games fit perfectly. They are also pretty easy to get out, but are held in securely.

Kirby Tilt N Tumble fits just as well, as does the DS Rumble Pak and one of my bootleg Sonic carts.

Even the the GBA Wireless Receiver manages to fit, and closes with only a small bulge.

Drill Dozer does not fit, however I believe it will be a simple matter of clipping off the upper support clips and it will fit just fine.

GBC Rumble carts obviously are too thick for a single case, but what surprised me is that you can slide them in from the top and they stay in very securely. Makes making double cases that much easier! Similarly, I believe WarioWare Twisted will stay in place with minor modifications to the bottom part of the potential double case. Unless of course Shadowfox can someday afford to make a double-thick variant for the GBC rumble games, WarioWare Twisted and peripherals like the GBC, GBA, and GBA SP GameSharks and DS Paddle Controller.

And now the million dollar question....

...

...

...

Wisdom Tree games fit!  :P  ;D

While I don't have these cartridges, I suspect Robopon Sun Version, the Boktai games, the Nintendo MP3 Player and Play-Yan will all fit nicely with only minor modifications. We also already know Yoshi Topsy Turvy/Universal Gravitation fits unmodified.

Overall, I'm not just impressed but blown away by the quality and versatility of these cases! Outstanding work Shadowfox!

Just as a side note on these cases; Ya'll should be gathering Gameboy game lots up, just for the sole reason of re-selling them.

EXAMPLE: And Gameboy game + booklet really doesn't have any extra value than just the cart alone. (Due to the fact if you're like me, and get a booklet, you can't throw it away, so you end up staching it away, never to see the light of day again.) So that ebay auction for a loose gameboy game with booklet for $2.75. Add a case to it and sell it for $8-10.00 since it looks a million times better and would be "complete" (Game + Booklet + Case)

Just food for though

Very helpful review! Now I got my husband excited, too. Will do a new inventory of games tonight and see if I need to up my 50 to 100 or not. We can't decide if we want to go to these for GBA or stick to the GBA slot DS cases for them.

Yo can stay with the DS cases you have and buy for the ones you don't have cased, they look the same or you can change all to this cases and keep those DS cases for future DS games.

Just an idea

That is a fantastic review. I Cannot wait to get these for my GB/GBC Games. For my Advance titles i'll just keep them in the DS cases that have the GBA slot for now but that crispy new untouched by sticker sleeves is very tempting to replace them all.. Decisions decisions!!!!

Thanks guys, just wanted to be thorough. If you have any specific questions about the case, let me know and I'll try my best to answer if I can.

I too will be starting by casing my GB and GBC games, and then later I'll be getting cases for GBA games when I get more funds.

What's the thickness and clarity of the outer sleeve like? If it's comparable to the offiicial cases, count me in!

Are these available for sale yet?
No, some users just have prototypes for testing.

On the new cases, No now pictures, TF basically got all that's needed.

Manual clips are near perfect. Tight enough for thinner manuals, but hold thick ones well. You have to be carefull putting them in, by bending the cases clips up to let it go in, The clips are flexible so it feels like they will not break, it can hold the 120 page PAL Yoshi UG/TT manual just fine. Pokemon manuals can be hard to get out, the most effective move would be to hold the case inside down so you can get a grip on it. They can get a good hold on very thin manuals as well, a 4 page booklet for Donkey Kong '94 stays in place.

The quality feels better on the second run, Almost OEM Nintendo.

I found removing GB/GBC carts very hard though. The clips for them got stuck on the seem of the 2 cart shell halfs. Though the more I pulled it out, it became a little easier.

Overall the cases are great, I can't wait to case up my collection with them.
