We need these for Game Gear games too!

I think those are in the works.

Altough I would prefer better replacement for UGCs first.

agree with you on this

Can't argue there. I assume the Onion cases fell through? I've been out of the loop for a while.

Looks bad at moment, he hasn't said anything in a while

I think maybe shadowfox should start the nes case, I would love to see onion cases on sell, really like them but it's taking too much time. Or maybe Seymour onion should get in contact with shadowfox to see if they together can do this or can put Seymour in contact with the company shadowfox is using, onion is having trouble with cad guy an company...

Agreed totally, but I want SNES over NES.
Combo of these 2 would be OK too, as long as SNES and big NES manuals fit (same size) that UGCs can't handle well.

I have around 8 case types ready and waiting to be built out. The million dollar question is: "What case mould will make it's money back quickly to allow me to move onto the next one."

I felt the GB/GBC/GBA was number one on the list.

And I have a vendetta with Protect-O-Tape (UGCs) due to the owners apathy to actually improve on his product. I DO want to make UGC style cases. And I'd be coming out with Clear, Black, SEGA Blue, Metroid/Spider-Man RED. Just to start.

The only 2 items I see that need altering is the inside wriggle room needs 3MM more to fit a manual on the lefthand side and booklet clips as well. My goal is to keep the same dimensions as the UGC. (So no alterations on the cover art is needed.)

As for pricing.... I'd L.O.V.E. to be cheaper than UGCs ....because... I'm just like that. (WINNING!!!) As in, if it breaks even I will do it. (But I'm not sure what the cost per unit will be yet, but once I'm at that point I am looking to do that) At the very least, there will be a sliding scale (like the GB style ones) so maybe they will be "X" amount and the price per unit would go under UGC lowest price. Another reason I want to make these is to drop my bottom line on the game cases I sell on my site. I'm already the cheapest out there, but I'd love to be something like $3.00-$4.00ea and free shipping. LOL

SO! To sum all this up! I need to make the money BACK from the GB style cases ASAP so as to fund the next mould. The next needs to be able to pay for itself  quickly as well. (Also an AWESOME thing is that, the sales of the GB cases profit will help pay the second mould off quickly as well)
Once I have the first 2 moulds paid off then I'll be able to start scooping up the other case moulds that I'm not as confident selling 10's of thousands of. Like the GG cases or UGC style NES cases. AND one I personally want to do; GameCube cases. :)

Sound like a plan?

I would go with UGC replacements first (after these GB cases) as those will definitely make you the money back fastest.
I estimate I need 3000-4000 (for NES, SNES, N64 & Jaguar).

Then maybe the speciality cases like GG and such.

I don't really see point in NGC cases though.

Yep, me too. I've been holding off for cases for the Onion cases. So my NES, SNES, 32X, and Jaguar games are just sitting loose. My N64 games are in cases but given the right cases I'd dump those.

For 32-X I'd want Genesis/master system clamshell size (assuming manuals fit).

again agree with you, the same, nes, snes and n64 games without cases right now, waiting for onion cases too. For gamecube i prefer to buy them cib, so i think there is no need of that case right now (the same for wii, ps2, ps3, xbox, etc)

I had just purchased my first bunch of UGCs to discover several manuals just won't fit without the case snapping open, which left me really put off with them. I don't want to spend a bunch for my collection just to find I can't store my manuals as planned. I guarantee your version of the UGCs would be a big hit just for that feature. I'd even considered a kickstarter to accommodate a new product, but I would be much happier going with yours! ;)

It is settled then, I'm going to start a new thread to discuss the UGC style cases... These GB style cases are pretty much all wrapped up, as long as the proofs that are in transit are all that they should be, and this mould making business does take a little bit of time to conjure up ;)

I think by the time I need to pony up any funds for the next UGC mould the GB mould should be all paid up.

I would love a replacement GameCube case that was same quality plastic, disc holder is right size, and have a memory card holder like the original. You see so many people on ebay selling DISC ONLY GameCube games and I hate putting a GC game in a DVD Case. Together would could provide a rightful replacement home for GameCube games worldwide!! ...sorry got carried away  :P
Definitely would be neat to have different colors!  ;D

IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!! at least for me... ;D

The second batch of proofs can one day EARLY! (WOOT!) and they are a THOUSAND TIMES BETTER!!!

 :D :D :D

The color is SPOT ON! as in holy cow! AMAZING

So! The photo does not due the color matching Justice but the case on the bottom is mine and the case on the top is an authentic Nintendo DS.

So I have just asked the factory to let me know long it will take to run and deliver the first batch of cases. (My guess is 2 weeks)
