Extremely excited for these. Always disliked having to modify ds cases which looked far too messy imo. Do you still have any samples lying about? Definitely going to order some of these when they are available also really liking the revised branding logo. Keep up the brilliant work!  :)

Thanks! Nope, I don't even have one of the first proofs! (lol!) I shipped it to key people in TCP. I'm going to "bug" the mould factory tonight just to say hi and see how it's all going, I dropped them an e-mail about 4 days back and they said they didn't have any other questions and basically said for me to sit tight they go this! ;) lol

"Sit tight, they got this!"

Well they have us (at least me) on pins and needles! I have actually been sitting with my Gameboy titles in storage waiting for something brilliant like this, because I am just not happy with the look of the cut up cartridge solution. I about fell out of my chair when I saw your progress on these!

Well they look awesome.
In the pledge thread, there was some talk about shipping to europe.
Is there any indication of shipping costs ?

Hell-a-much nowadays (Me being European aswell, thus I know).
Big flat rate box is 80 bucks (30x30x14cm). = quick guestimate: 66 cases
And I think the box has been shrunk down, I think it used to be (30x30x20cm) = about 98 cases.

Cardboard paper they were.

PSP case is about correct size.
I'll check next time I see my GG manuals.

ok this has been bugging me for a while, will GG carts fit in UMD cases without modification?

so i took one for the team, spent a whopping 2 quid on a shitty sports game and started taking photos;

warning: lots of photos!, also used 2 different cases to illustrate this

case one, a clear unmodified psp case;

position one;

 as you can see, no chance this is going to close!

from the side;

i tried it in another position, to see if that was any better;

looks better, but still no go;

then i took a platinum case and cut away part of the UMD holder;

as you can see, the game fits;

and the case closes, cart even moves about, so its not tight in there;

so No, GG games dont fit in an unmodified UMD case

however, if you can get your hands on some thick, euro-sized DS cases only a very small mod has to be made and they fit perfectly!

About the psp cases to fit game gear games, why did you cut the bottom half? You could have trimmed out the center and the GG game could have sat where the UMD sat originally. Would have had less movement.
What are you looking at? You think baby's don't like video games? THEN YOU DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT BABIES!!

LOL....  ;D

Okay, so let's talk about this, what is the "Wish List" for the GG cases? If I'm going to make these cases I'm going to need some help, I'm a Nintendo guy myself and have played GG about a dozen times in my life.

So, sizes: (UMD case size?)
Color: (Clear, Black, Blue?)
Then once we get I grip on this how many would you want to purchase?

Let's kind of play with this, I WANT to do these but I need to feel confident in them like I am with the GB/GBC/GBA cases. :)

I would like them to be as close to a gg retail box  dimensions as possible, and able to hold the manual securely.  Color wise I really don't mind.

Although the boxes went through many design revisions and regional variations, I believe they were all the same size.

Will measure the box/manual for you  later today, unless someone else gets there first.

Size: Just enough big to fit manual and cart, but doesn't waste space. holdind clips for different size manuals (sizes range from smaller than famicom to almost SNES size).
Color (in order of preference): Black, clear, blue.

How many? Couple hundred.

A Super Small Update:

I've been bugging the heck out of the mould company and they informed me last night that in 3-4 days the new mould will be complete and that they will send the new proofs out same day! (WOOT!)

Sweet.

If you are running low on the samples no need to send second copy to me as I'm already sold! 8)
If you have extras then you can...
