Hey all. I took a long break from making covers for a while due to my computer dying hard and then being way too busy, but now I think I'm ready to make some more. I've also been working on a computer science/graphic design degree (senior year now, after taking home a biochemistry degree), so my covers might start looking a bit less... not good.

So, any requests or anything?

Did that graphic design degree include any vectoring? I don't have any cover requests at the moment, but I always come across logos which I need vectorised. :)

That degree does indeed include vectoring. I pretty much only do vector graphics anymore (they're just so... clean...)

Great, I'll look into them.

And into Short Order/Egg Splode. A multiquote option would be nice.

Alright, I'm taking a top-down approach and World Games has many elements that should be easily reproducible in vector, but the artwork for the game is lacking. Are there any raw cover scans anywhere? I could take a more stylized approach, but I'm assuming you were wanting a more traditional cover, right BPip?

UPDATE:

I've been looking around at The Last Starfighter covers (much easier since it was based on a film) and there's a few directions we can go with this. The game basically copied the original movie poster (altered the logo, but the image is the same), but the Blu-ray/DVD rerelease used a new, updated version:

So, BPip, which would you rather have? And I know you said you'd like the SNES games to be vertical, but what about the NES games?

I'd like it if you can nail something close to retail. Feel free to use these, as they're the best I could locate when I was searching last month. I know they're not great.

Ya, as close to retail as you can even with the SNES games just flipped vertical. Thanks again for attempting these I'm sure there's a lot of people who need them.

Alright, this is what I have so far for World Games:

The flags, logos, and title were recreated either within Photoshop or Illustrator. The quality seal was modified to look a bit better, but there were no good scans of the seal that I could find, so it's the original. The image was doctored up a bit to remove dust, scratches, old title and logos, etc. The original image used was one of Oobgarm's, so it took a bit of warping to get it back into proportion.

EDIT: In Shenske's template, I found one almost just like it (gray border, but whatever). It will be used instead.
