Has anyone had luck printing covers for Universal Game Cases on a Mac?  I have been trying to find a way by just using Preview, but so far I can't get them to be the correct size.  I apologize if this is already somewhere in the forums, but if it is I couldn't find it.

On the print options in Preview:

1. Make sure you are using legal size paper (use the US Legal option under paper).

2. Make sure it is landscape.

3. Under Scale to Fit, select "Print Entire Image".

You should be able to print after that.

Those are the settings I tried before, but it is printing out too large.  It ends up printing about 13" x 8.125" when it should be 11.22" x 7".  Any other suggestions?

Sorry to resurrect an ancient thread, but I'm having this exact same problem. I changed the settings but the covers are printing out way too big. I thought it would be pointless to start a new thread asking the exact same thing as this one.

I haven't personally printed out UGC's on my Mac, but with other covers most size problems are solved by selecting "Scale" and setting it at 100%

That fixed the size problems, but the colors are printing out awfully faded. I just bought this printer so I can't be running low on ink already. I tried changing the paper types, but that didn't make much of a difference. This is the paper I'm using, if I helps at all.

Can anyone think of a reason why the colors aren't coming out right? I've tried every paper setting available and it's done nothing but waste ink. Maybe this is just a crappy kind of paper, but all the reviews for it are positive and note that colors printed on it are supposedly sharp and vivid. I thought maybe I was printing on the wrong side of the paper, but I tried both sides and there was no difference.

Searching around on Google, I think my printer may be broken. It's beginning to squeak, and that and the faded colors are apparently signs that the fusor is busted. I've only had this printer for about five days. I don't see how it could be broken already. I can return it to the store I guess, but this printer isn't available in the store so I'll have to wait for another one to be shipped to me.

This sure is a lot of hassle just to get some covers. I'm beginning to wonder if it would be easier to buy new, complete copies of all the games I have, keep what I need and sell what I don't.

Don't worry too much, some printers just suck ;) my Dell printer was useless with printing colors (always printed the wrong color) since day 1. But I don't use that since we also have a Canon all-in-one and an Epson Photo Printer. I use the Canon and it works great, I also use it to scan stuff. Sometimes you luck out and sometimes you get a dud with printers. Note; I've never had a laser printer, everything I've used has been ink-jet (though I would love a good laser printer more-so).

Actually a US citizen, but the US playstation id's look like crap :(

Well, I'm gonna call Staples tomorrow and see if they can figure out if that's the actual problem or not. If this thing is broken already, I'm gonna try to find my receipt and return it. If it broke this quickly, I don't think I want to get another one. I may just cave in and get an inkjet printer. It seems like that's what everyone here uses and their covers all seem to come out looking nice. This paper should be thick enough for the ink to not bleed through.

I've always gotten great results printing on my Mac, using a combination of Photoshop, Disc Cover, my Canon printers and Epson Presentation Paper Matte.

I print my covers from my macbook pro (with Tiger) to my work laser color and it prints great. I printed some PS3 covers.

I just go in the menu

Print -> Page Setup
switch to legal paper, scale should be at 100% by default, flip the image so that it's vertical and voila.
"Could this be... an omen?!"

Do you know what kind of paper the laser printer uses and where I could buy some? I'm thinking that the kind of paper I'm using might just be cheap. I have some glossy paper that prints out looking wonderful, but it's letter size so UGC covers won't fit on it, and those are the ones I really need. All the paper suggestions I see on here are for inkjet printers and I can't find glossy legal sized paper in any of my local stores or online. I've found some that claim it's legal sized, but the picture displayed says 8.5x11 so I don't know which to believe.
