Not sure if anyone else agrees or even cares, but if a game came out BEFORE a particular game rating system (MA-17 / T for TEEN, etc) IMO it doesn't belong on the case or cover art, amirite?

Well it's a good thing or doesn't happen often. It's a bit weird when Genesis and SNES come into play because the ESRB was created partway through its lifetime.

Is there a certain cover that bothers you or just in general?

On SNES covers they are sometimes added for consistency.

Hmm the word sometimes negates the that..

Anyway easy to remove.

I imagine that a handful of games were rated years later after virtual releases or enhanced versions for other platforms. Generaly it doesn't matter to me.
My DS Cover Requests: Anno 1701, A Witch's Tale, A Witch's Wish, Black Sigil, Dynasty Warriors, Flower Sun and Rain, Mage Knight Destiny's Soldier, n+, Time Ace

yeah what blumpkin said. not if you're going for strictly old retail standards, but if you try to modernize your shit the new vc/psn/xbla ratings are totally applicable. but i guess rickyhenry is talking about what gets uploaded to the db? pretty sure that's up to the submitter.

I hate ratings on covers where they shouldn't be. Totally useless!
2 + 3 = 23

I can live with ratings on games if they got ratings later, I despise a cover with a rating from the wrong region.

If the ratings are correct its kinda a positive to me. With family kids coming over it makes it easy for me screen games they play, and gives them an idea before they ask me

I don't mind as long as they're accurate. But someone put a teen rating on their custom Sonic 2 cover...Why??

I have when the new style ESRB is on the older covers.
