I just bought a 32X, and I went to test it but I got no signal from my Genesis 2. So I removed it and jut put in a game cart, no signal, Tried 2-3 more games, no signal.
Is it just my video chord or is there a problem with the system? When you turn a Genesis 2, does it show a black image or output no image?

Have you tried different AV cable. I mean rf instead of the Composite cable or vise versa.

Is the cable third party? Did you clean it?

 8) Is it plugged in?

first is to double check you've set it up correctly, they made the 32x way to complicated. Make sure your using the crossover cable.

I'm almost certen it is a official cable. It worked in the bast. I have no other cable to try out.
The problem is not the 32X right now, it wont give a signal without it. I do have the AC adapter and AV pass through cable for the 32X though.
The cable is a AV Red White Yellow cable, not RF.

I may just get a new cable to see if that will work. Does the genesis show a blank screen when on without a cartage (Like a NES), or output nothing? I forgot, I have not used one in a while.

Nothing. Black screen or whatever color your TV shows when it's set to the appropriate channel.

Is the Genesis powering up (red LED)?

Yes, the Red LED is on, the TV says no signal.

do you get a slight flicker when you turn it on, or just absolutely nothing?

Nothing at all. I may buy another cable soon, maybe it's the problem.
