I was working on an article about storing old school game in Universal Game Cases and finding or creating covers for them. I've wanted to do a few custom cases (and maybe try recreating a few for games with covers I can't find,) so I figured now was a good time to do one... especially since I have some unexpected downtime.

My first cover is a custom for the NES Ducktales. I wanted a using the Ducktales Remastered art, so whipped this one up. I did take some liberties with it, though it still works for the most part. I think it still needs work though.

I'm working on a second Ducktales one, though this one is meant more of a joke. After that, I'm not sure.

Preview looks nice.

I'll check it when I get home to better screen.

Thank you for sharing.

And welcome to the site.

Thank you.

The only real issues I have are the fonts and the cave image in the upper left corner on the back. I tried to keep the fonts close to what they were on the original cover. I was also worried about them not showing up very well on the background, though they looked fine when I did a test print. As for the cave, the blue-grey kinda clashes with the background. Not sure if I should worry about it.

And here's the "joke" cover. I spent a little less time on this one, though its not as complete as the first.

The images of Scrooge are fan art, so I should credit them somehow... probably somewhere on the back. The back and spine art I'll probably be changing as they were put there as placeholders. I still need to figure out what should got there.

As for the origin of the image of Scrooge on the front... the original author was inspired by a Ducktales/Live and Learn mash-up. I always had the idea of Scrooge appearing in front of the backdrop of Duckburg for this cover.

I think that first one is well done - but a change I'd make is to lighten the map background on the back and spine so the rear text shows up more clearly.

It didn't look so bad when it was printed... though that could be my color cartridge dying.

Here's the one that should brighten up your day...

I do wonder if its maybe too bright. Not a hard fix though.

And I apologize for the bad pun.

I finally began work on my Star Trek: Starfleet Academy cover. I mostly wanted to do this one because the current one on the site doesn't gel well with the rest of my collection. I still need to gather the screen shots and add some more text, and beyond that, do some additional tweaking.

Looking good. That alternate art for the bridge simulator might make a good insert.

Actually, that's a remake of the PC versions cover. Custom art I found online, so I should credit the artist somehow.

Anyways, I filled it up a bit more. It should be just about done, though some of the new text needs work.
