I bought the collector's edition, but its in a tin case. I'd like to but it in a standard 360 case so it lines flush with the others. If anyone has the standard version, please scan it for me.

I'm also still looking for Beautiful Katamari and Blazing Angels Secret Missions of WWII.

Ragnarok2103:

ah, damn, this game has a tin case? thats means i have to buy it now.  i have this thing were i have to own evey game that has a tin case. how is the game? i read some reviews that said that it wasnt very good.

makeshiftknight:

I played the demo. Seemed ok to me. I think it's just getting bad reviews because it's not "innovative." It's kinda getting on my nerves how every new game gets reviewed by how innovative it is. If something is good, it doesn't necessarily have to be innovative. Personally, I wish they'd start focusing more on writing good stories than innovation. I can't even remember the last time I actually FELT the loss of a character. Maybe it's just me... Anyway, sorry I can't help you with the covers satoshi.

Turning Point isn't as bad as its made out to be. If you're a fan of war history and maybe feel like your sick of being beaten over the head with WWII First Person Shooters that throw you in war-torn Europe, then there's a lot to like in the game.

The story is a what if - in this case, if Churchhill had died and thus was unable to lead Britian and it was eventually defeated by the Germans. In 1953, Germany attacks America. This means that you fight in American locations and European warfare doesn't show up at all.

Why is this interesting? Turning Point makes incredible use of technologies that never really existed but very well could have if the war had gone on long enough. The kinds of planes, tanks and weapons the Germans use in Turing Point are all based on what was in 1945, experimental german technologies. You'll see things like the MP50 (a better, faster version of the MP40) V2 rocket perpelled personal assult crafts, planes based on the HO-IX, giant zephlins, heavily armored tanks that look like someone out of Advance Wars and lots of other things.

To be honest though, Turning Point would be totally average if not for its storyline. The graphics are ok but they seem outdated, even on the 360. The game's graphics by and large look more like that of 360 launch game Call of Duty 2 as opposed to what the bar has reached with games like the Orange Box and Halo 3. There are some instances of slowdown when there's a lot of smoke and explosions on the screen at once, but it's nothing that effects your gameplay. The sound is good and the voice acting is decent enough, so don't worry there. The biggest problem with the game is the AI, or lack thereof. The AI here as about that of Medal of Honor Frontline for comparison.

Like makeshiftknight said, I think the reason people were so let down by the game was because beyond its story, there's nothing really exceptional about it that you haven't done before, in some ways better. I like it, but its not a game that you really ought to chase down the special collector's edition of. I would give it a 7/10 because I love the story and I'm very interested in the source material. If that isn't you, its probably more a 5/10.

All that said, please someone add the cover to the site! I'm really dying to have it!
