Took me a while to figure out how I was going to wrestle that huge logo down to fit in with the rest. Finding decent-res Amano art for this one was a pain too.



aaaand that does it with this series for now, I'm gonna work on n64 covers for a bit. I might come back later and do X-2, FF Origins and maybe XI and XIII. Don't hold your breath though.

thought id show off a cover ive been working on, my photoshop skills are limited so i cant do anything complicated
as you can see it isnt finished yet and would appreciate it if a photoshop pro could help
also the back is a NTSC but when this is finished the cover will be pal with the pal bottom instead of a ntsc back

heya...

 After 2 years Im back, trying to help again the best cover project on my opnion...
 To understand the best way to help, I will start to focus my editing skills on the RAWs that ppl uploads... I see we have a bunch of nice ppl who uploads, and now those who can must be able to make their effort worths... thats my idea...

 So, I will start CLEANING the PS2 RAW uploads... will try to at least...
 I will try always the best as I can with the raws quality, being some raws very poor I wont even try, and will list here RAWs that at least I cant make a 300 DPI cover quality...

Any other editor who wanna work more focused and help me on this Endeavor over PS2 raws send me a private msg...

 Just to sharp my skills a bit I made those 4... got to go work now.. will try assemble more later...

Welcome back Ketaros, I'm glad we have another person on board to help with the RAWS. Just to let you know we already have both MGS2 & MGS3 on the site from the essentials pack. They were added under substance and subsistance because their content on the discs were identical to those versions

 So, it would be GREAT and very important for me, if someone could remove from RAWs of PS2 all those already made, can u?

You will find a lot of covers that I have uploaded under "SNow" inside the PS2 RAWs section.  I will tell you flat out right now that there are some games that I have uploaded that have covers already hosted on our site.  However, I re-uploaded my scans because the quality of said covers on our site are not the best they could be.

Granted, if a RAW is worse than the cover on TCP, then delete it if it cannot help.  But please do not go through and say "Oh we have Twisted Metal 3 for PS1 already hosted, lets delete this TM3 RAW" and not look at the quality of the hosted picture.  Because some are dreadful (but I thank the uploaders for uploading said covers!)

With that being said...

My covers might be the easiest to do, as I powerscanned ~50 covers.  Most need despeckled and then resized from 1100 DPI to 300 DPI.  Any assistance on those would be very much appreciated!

 Good to know that ShoothimNow... them I will start straight thru your scans...
 You know, 40% of the final quality will always depends of the quality on the scans, I may have skills, filters and etc to improove and even make-up... but a nice scans helps alot...

 Nice see you still here man... yeah I remember how u push me hight from good to outstanding quality... its nice...

 TIK! I will trying my best on RAWS now... so, dont push too much... (that small letters in the lower right that has 16 pixels hight, has 1 pixel wrong.. hehe)

 I HATE the fact this thread was moved to here...

It broke the idea of cleaning scans and presenting them in the forum?  This thread suites the exact same purpose

Other threads involve the same thing - taking raw scans and cleaning them up. Even if you clean up someone else's scans, it still belongs in the main thread. Don't worry, you'll still get all the glory for adding covers to the site.
