Need a Scanner , like NOW
wiggy:
You need an all-in-one?
If not, most any cheap, newer Canon will do the job. I've been a canon person for a long time. Like Arseen, I've had/seen too many Epson products fails before they should :(
I can check what mine is. I'm sure it can be found for less than $50 at this point. I've had it for about 6 years and it's never given me any issue and it's done a lot of scanning over the years.
edit: Canon LiDE 60. Can be had on amazon for $25 at this point. Very highly rated as well :)

Canon LiDE 60 is pretty dated. Also not rich in options. CanoScan LiDE210 for 80$ brand new, you can't beat that with a baseball bat.

k, i went with both a scanner, and a new all in one.
all in 1

scanner

the hardware resolution on the solo scanner was better than any of the all in 1 could offer

That might be a bit much for the scanner (almost the same at half the price http://www.amazon.com/Canon-4508B002-CanoScan-LiDE210-Scanner/dp/B003VQR1TS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1389584152&sr=8-2&keywords=CanoScan+LiDE). Great price on the printer tho, but before you buy check how much the ink refills will cost you.

Yeah, but it does the job just fine, plus it's pretty hard to argue with $25 for one ;)
