Didn't want to make another topic on the Feedback forum, so I made one here. >_>
In any case, there are numerous covers in the archive--mostly in the PS1 and DC area--where the only covers available are custom covers for DVD cases. That's fine, if that's the best we can do; however, from looking at these cases it's clear that the source image is, in fact, a RAW of the actual CD inserts. Why then aren't these inserts themselves cleaned up and uploaded first? It doesn't seem fair that custom covers, which take far more work to clean up and make into usable templates, take priority over simply cleaning and uploading the CD-case inserts, which are the source images for the DVD cases in the first place. Further, it is my understanding that once a RAW has been turned into something--be it a retail CD cover or a custom DVD cover--it is discarded, meaning if it was the latter people are stuck with the DVD cover.
Not to complain, and I'm sure I do alot, but it just strikes me as rather strange. Why should a game have only a custom cover and not an original when it's clear from looking at the custom that someone was clearly using an original as the source?
