^^^ It's sad that nobody ever made use of the GC's digital output. It's effin' native, so it seems like a no-brainer. Then again, I'm no electrical or computer engineer, so I have no idea how much work and money it would take to make use of that signal ??? --- Quote from: UncleBob on December 31, 2013, 12:02:01 PM ---Guessing again, but if so, perhaps the cable was designed for all three systems, but when using it for the GameCube, you have to use just *one* of the component jacks (like, a specific one that was probably notated in the instructions) in the Video Port of your composite device. I've seen several "Universal" A/V cables from that generation that use this style. --- End quote --- Yeah, I have one of those somewhere here. I don't think I've ever used it, but I'll see if I can dig it up. I recall it being clear... --- Quote from: Arseen on December 31, 2013, 12:33:28 PM ---Well PAL GameCube does output RGB thru that port, sp maybe the cable is RGB cable intead of Component? --- End quote --- Hmm, that might explain why I'm having a hard time finding it on US sites. |

Ok i got the GC and the components do not work, as suspected. The cables did fit fine in my ps2 slim as well so i really dont know what these are for. The monster s video i have does work fine and from what ive read is really close to component quality but obviously not quite there. It makes a huge difference over rca composite though. Just fyi :) |
