it makes me sad that most of my covers are already printed on copy paper. The color looks alot richer on the matte photo paper and it aint wrinkley either. I'm glad you suggested that one to me.

I use this 8.5 X 14 matte paper. It works really well for the bleeding and is thin enough to fold easily. I've never tried glossy however.

It's more of a per-printer thing. The covers are not really more shiny than matte because of the sleave, but a lot of printers brint better blacks on glossy, and some have less issues with banding.  If I see bands show on on a matte print, I switch to glossy, they're gone for a while.  Or I clean the print heads, it generally goes away.

Matte paper is definitely more demanding of the print head (and ink supply :( )

Well I'm glad you like it.  Do you plan on going back at some point and re-printing?

eventually that is the goal. but I am SO far behind on casing my games right now. like 100 games behind.
