Does the kind of paper matter?

RedSwirl:
I just now tried to print off of this specially-sized glossy paper that's made for DVD inserts but could never get the sizing and positioning right.

I checked everywhere and couldn't find glossy paper anywhere and had to buy these online.
Mike:
I've printed my covers with Matte Photo Paper.  I've used Canon branded Matte paper.  I've found that this paper provides for nice covers.  Here are some of the stats:

45 lbs
170 g/m3
Paper Model: MP-101

Typically this matte paper has one bright side an one not-so bright side.  You gotta print on the bright side for best results.

In terms of legal size paper, I've found some for sale on the Epson website.  It is  lighter than the paper I have tried 102 g/m3/27lbs so I am not sure how the print outs would look.

Anyhow here are links to purchase:

I find that where I live it is hard to find legal sized photo paper at the typical office supplies stores.  Has anyone been able to find a place where they sell it.

Thanks
