Which cover are we talking about? because I also thought the screenshots were bad when I was editing the Pac-Attack one. I agree its worth going for better quality if people agree.

Agreed, but I think we should have something vs nothing. Just my thought.

We don't use the something vs. nothing ideology on TCP. However, it's acceptable to use screenshots from a scan as long as the scan is 300 dpi or better. Capturing screenshots looks 100 times better but... Good lord, it takes time. Back in the day, many of the screenshots used to make the original covers where taken with a regular camera right off a monitor. The screenshots on Lethal Enforcers look horrible but unfortunately that's retail. I'll examine the cover tomorrow. If the screenshots don't meet site standards, I'll replace them. I've done it before with some of the covers I've posted.

I can also provide you the photoshop files for these or any in future if its any better for you, or if you wanted to make other verticals out of them?

I'm also happy to recapture screens, but will take much longer and I don't think I would be able to get exact matches without playing for hours! (ain't nobody got time for that ;) - I assume the idea is to go for exactly how it was on retail cover?

When I redo screenshots, I capture the exact part in a level used for the original box; regardless of sprite placement. I erase the sprites and than  replace them in the exact spot used in the original screenshot. However, it's taken me up to two day do this. It's one of the reasons I stop making NES retail covers. The work is extreme.

Karl_87, your Super Aquatic cover looks good. However, it's 1.8 megs. It should be around 3 to 4 megs. It would indicate that when you saved the file, you selected the quality option to be low. Could you re-save it so the image quality is at it's Maximum? The lower image quality causes some discoloration. I'll get your cover up as soon as you make that change. I can get it up today of you can get that to me in the next few hours. Otherwise, it will be next week.

Hi, good catch! sorry for the issue, I always go for maximum but must have pressed a lower one by accident...

Hey Segamer, why are your SNES vert covers marked as retail covers on the site?
<-- If anything I have is checked as "Case/Box", I will scan it if you ask nicely... I'm pretty slow about getting things done though.  Laziness.

There are retail vertical and retail horizontal. Retail uses the retail art work. Custom uses custom artwork.

Ah, okay.  I thought it was referring to the layout in general.
