If you are looking for great game reviews I love Classic Game Room (CGR) and CGR Undertow reviews on YouTube. I use their reviews all the time to determine whether I get a game or not

I do not fallow news that much, but I like these, the latter 2 are very polished and more general news, RTUSA is more opinion and stuff, but interesting.

I will Second ReviewTechUSA, he doesnt really do individual game reviews rather its talk about current/future developments about the new gen consoles & movements and activities of the Big 3 companies without being a fanboy to any particular console so its objective/reliable. Definately suggest it.

I'd recommend CynicalBrit on YT. Especially his Content Patch series. That's pretty much all I watch for news.

Doom:

Giant Bomb is great for people really interested in games. (I spend enough time playing games to make it worth following. I am also interested in knowing about games that I am not playing.) I listen to their 2.5 hour podcast every week (while playing games) and will watch 60-180 minutes of video content from them in a given week. (This is usually in a separate window while I browse the Internet.)

If you're more passively interested, I don't know what to tell you. IGN is terrible but GameSpot had some great people (that all moved to Giant Bomb). Seems like the company isn't that bad now.

CynicalBrit spends 40 minutes explaining what could take 5 minutes to read in an article. Great for people with terrible attention spans.

Also, most of these "independent" YouTube people are making much more money in a year than any of the "corporate" employees.

Not to be too much of a downer, but I am amazed that Snackbar Games is still running. I don't know exactly how the relationship between Snackbar and The Cover Project works, but the owner of TCP also owns Snackbar Games. Right after I was amazed that they still existed, I saw a pretty good interview with the creator of Dust: An Elysian Tail on their site. The interviewer actually knew what he was talking about and did research beforehand! It was great!

I would also suggest going with Classic Game Room.
