Thing is, I don't want to use my Nintendo brand cases for that because when I actually travel I take my games in the cases so they don't get all banged up.

It is a really good idea though. Guess I'll need some aftermarket cases.

I figured that would work but you need a specific type of super glue that bonds plastics. I bought gorilla glue for this task and it didn't work. I think I found a glue called "Sticky Ass Glue" on Amazon that bonds plastics, but I haven't tried it yet.

Crazy glue will work fine if you rough up the surfaces that you're bonding. Use sandpaper and/or some scraping with a hobby knife.

My 1/2 asleep self red this as:
"Just glue a GBA cartridge to it."

I should go to sleep.

Anyway, not a bad idea, but would it be to bulky?

I already put the clamshells in my DS cases anyway. It does give it a slight bulge but it's not really that bad.

Just use a hot glue gun. Works fine on plastic.

I just don't like hot glue because it always seems to eventually come apart. And under high heat conditions it becomes malleable again.

Where do you keep your cases that would be in high heat?? The oven? Lol

No I'm kidding man, and I understand. My house is usually 60 degrees and where I keep my game stuff is a little bit cooler and dry. I also don't take my cases with me anywhere really. So I'm just saying that method works good for me.

If you really want to go hardcore, use an epoxy mix. Then that shit will never come apart.  ;)

This is good info. Thanks guys.
I just tried this out and it does work, but you have to remove the whole DS game slot which is still a PITA

This is how I store my GBA games in a DS case. All I do is go to walmart and buy 1/4" weather strips for like 8 dollars and I just cut out 3 little pieces to securely hold the GBA game inside. It takes less than a minute and is just as good at holding the game and taking it out, if not better, than Nintendo's original GBA slots. I find it kind of a pain to have to really force the GBA game into a standard gba slot cause I have to press it in kinda hard sometimes, whereas with this modification it just sits right in.

Easiest solution:

Step one - order a bunch of the new-style DS cases from Nintendo.
Step two - replace all of your DS games with the new-style cases.
Step three - take all your old DS game cases and use them on GBA games.

The only issue is that nothing really sticks to polypropylene very well. I.e. the stripping will start to come off at a point.

I guess your right. But the picture I had as an example has had those strips for a little over 3 years and they seems to be staying on there just fine. But perhaps I can just change them out as soon as they lose their stickiness.

I think they only started selling red DS cases about 2 years ago :P

But seriously, it sounds like they're holding up well.  That stripping must be industrial grade lol!
