Hi everyone!

I'm going into collector mode haha. Just came across Odin Sphere and Suikoden V for 2 bucks each, turns out PAL release of these bad boys are 50 each or so. Winning!

So I'm going to go op shop hopping in hops of more 2 dollar wins. Recommend me some awesome games for the system, mainly RPGs but anything rare is nice too :)

I've got the main series i.e. Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts. Cheers guys.

I remember when I used to hang out with friends at a local game shop there'd be a bunch of .hack titles out there. Pretty cheap too.
I've never had a PS2 though, so I wasn't interested. I'd probably pick those up now if that shop still existed.

They're supposedly a great RPG series.

JakeHC - I haven't personally played it but I've heard great things about this one - Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King

It's made by Enix so if your into the Final Fantasy series this may be one to look into.

On a side note - I'm a huge fan of the kingdom hearts series as well!

Go get yourself some Katamari Damacys (Damacies?). Also another vote for Shadow of the Colossus. Also Gitaroo Man. Beyond Good & Evil. Mega Man X8. Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3. Some of the PS2 Resident Evils, if you're into those (as a Resident Evil fan, it's my opinion that PS2 had the weakest RE lineup).

I've heard a bit about this series and it's meant to be really good, they're quite expensive I think. Damn these Australian prices!

They're also quite expensive haha, hopefully someone has them cheap :) I remember now playing a demo of the game back in the day and I remember it being pretty interesting :) Cheers

Oh yeah, I'm a huge FF Fanboy. When they merged with Enix I pretty much bought whatever they put out. DQ8 is super good, it actually turned me onto the whole DQ series :) If you ever get the chance I'd recommend it. It's a beautiful game but I remember it took me 100+ hours to complete everything.

I've heard quite a lot of good things about that game, that's the one that's bundled with Ico as a HD release isn't it? I remember my friend playing it and it looked crazy.

Shadow of the colossus
Nocturne series

Ah I almost forgot haha. I picked up Battlefront 1 not too long ago and forgot all about the second one :) I remember dark cloud being on the demo disc back in like 2002 or something and I think the second was released as Dark Chronicle out here for some reason? I'm not too sure but they're definitely games I want to get :)
I'll have to look into the Nocturne series as well :)

Wow that's a huge list, cheers man!

I've got the Jak series and the Ratchet and Clank series. There's a few series in amongst your list that I've got bits and pieces for but don't actually have all the games. I've heard God Hand was meant to be really good :)

Did Tales of Symphonia appear on the PS2 eventually? I know it released in Japan, don't know if it ever got to the rest of the world.

If it did: get it :P

Heard Okage is an rpg worth playing.

Not rpgs, but recommend Tenchu and Manhunt for stealth/action. Both are on xbox as well.

I don't know about Australia but both games as well as SMT: Nocturne were rereleased in the US so they can be had for less than $20 new, I got all three from Amazon a few months ago and I think it came to like $50. Might be worth checking to see if Amazon has an Australia site or ships to you.
