I am wondering if anybody is interested in the set of 64DD scans (all excpet Doshin2) or some n64 jap scans?

I have uploaded a lot of scans in the past and they didnt even make the lists, so I wont bother unless they will be used, and no, Im not being hard to get along with, where I come from we have to pay for bandwidth so uploading scans that will endup in limbo is a waste...

And yes, The scans I uploaded in the past were good quality, 400dpi de-dotted.

cheers.

I don't have a 64DD, but I'd like one. And I collect Japanese items, so yeah, I'd definitley download 'em.

Okay .... in regards to the "missing" scans etc ......

I am the chief person who creates the covers from N64 raw scans and like everyone here I have a life outside of this project. In recent times my focus has been to get the USA covers completed so we have a complete set and as a result I have been really really busy converting USA raw scans to the detriment of all else. I only have one cover left to go now .... Fifa 99 I think .... so am slowly getting to the JPN/PAL covers. I recently submitted Tiktektak's JPN Bomberman cover for instance .... and that has been hanging around for over a year. But it was quite damaged etc ......

However, if I was to be totally honest .... some of your scans of labels etc were very blurry. I dont know why ..... your HSV Racing was great for instance ..... it's almost like you got a new scanner recently. As this site has a mantra of having the best scans available I felt the early cart scans were not of the desired quality to submit. Don't think you are the only one in this ... I had issues with another persons cart scans as well. The raws are still there however, and I will revisit them but I would prefer it if you resubmitted your carts scans and any new stuff if possible at 600dpi with no enhancement and let me do the work. What software did you use when scanning? I'm guessing the non-standard 400dpi caused issues with the despeckle option when they were scanned.

I recently received a Konami Top Gunner Jamma arcade kit .... it's my favorite game of all time .... and I am in the process of restoring the control panel overlay [it's in bad condition but was the only one seen on EBAY in the last 3 years] so remember that my time is shared between a lot of things including raising two kids & keeping the wifey happy etc.

oh, okay - no worries!

so, do you want me to email you a list or something with my games on it so I can re-do the dodgy ones?
Also, do you not want me to use the de-specle option this time? I think that may be the origin of the blur.
The earlier scans were scanned just 300dpi std, then I discovered the 'descreen' option, so I started scanning 400dpi descreen, these would have had '400dpi desceen' in the file name.  which are better?

cheers!

I don't think I've ever heard of a request to not use descreen for the stuff on this site. Try comparing 300dpi descreen to 300dpi no descreen. I'd imagine descreen would be much better and much more usable.

I know the descreen/despeckle option on my printer software sucks .... so I guess it depends on the scanner make etc and what software they use.

Valeman, I am about to upload (like, right now) 3 new scans I did today, the filenames are tagged, tell me which is best...
I found a slider in the scan preferences for 'shapness' so I set it to max on one (it is marked)

Let me know how they look... They are scans of simcity64DD, I will upload them into the retail / raw section.

Cheers!
