Shenske I wouldn't mind sending you some good will money towards a new PC, say like $10. If enough people put together and did that you might be able to replace your PC pretty quick. If you do work at Gamestop then you have good access to tons of game covers and we all know you're good for helping out with requests. I think it would be money well spent. :)

What is the computer doing? You could just need a new hard drive.

Absolutely nothing. It won't turn on or charge even with a brand new power supply plugged in. The battery would at least charge if the hard drive crashed. Its not the actual plug for the power supply to go into either as that has been tested. I was told by a few people it is likely the mother board that fried. It's unfortunate but I'm trying to figure out a way to get another computer. I may have a solution but i won't really be sure until Friday. Fingers crossed

Nuts, looks like I'm a little late to the party, but, from what I was reading, I thought the same thing. Some places can repair/replace your motherboard for around $70. A new laptop could cost you around $500-1000. I'd look into fixing it before replacing it! (And I speak from experience; the same thing happened to me- AND my files were all intact!)
