How are people allowed to make money on stuff they didn't create? Personally, I don't think they should be allowed. Much like selling covers, if you make an art book using art you didn't draw or create yourself, it should be 100% free. If I made a book such as those, I'd give it away free.

If you are referring to the Master System Book, it's fully licensed by Sega (at least according to the Kickstarter update).
Maybe, just once, someone will call me "sir" without adding, "you're making a scene."

<-- If anything I have is checked as "Case/Box", I will scan it if you ask nicely... I'm pretty slow about getting things done though.  Laziness.

New Update "L" Shoulder Button
Posted by Retro Fighters (Creator)
Backer3x For backers only
Hello Everyone,

We wanted to let everyone know that we have completed the update on the "L" shoulder button. We had to modify the left side by moving the "hook" on the plastic shoulder button piece.

We are in the process of building these and we expect it to be available to ship around late July / early August.

Have a great weekend!

Thank you!

Not sure if this has been posted already... this kickstarter needs some love :)

Modern Mallard modifies your existing copy of Duck Hunt and your existing Zapper to work on modern TVs, like LCD or LED TVs. By modifying the Zapper to be sensitive to the screens of modern TVs and by modifying the game on the fly to accommodate the lag inherent to modern TVs, Modern Mallard allows the game to function like you remember. Once modified, the Zapper and game cartridge look completely stock from the outside.

I've seen this on a few other forums.  It's a really cool project and I hope they succeed.  But, for me, that's way too much money to just play Duck Hunt.

Just realized they don't ship outside US, so I won't be getting it :(
This significantly reduces their market size and chances to hit theit goal.

I saw the guys from the Retro Roundtable talking about that on Twitter, they're basically saying it's next to impossible for that to work properly

I'd be up for something that enables ALL old light guns and games to work on modern TVs.

So here is how I define this:

Pointer device: Wiimote or other device that used a reference that is external to the gmea video signal. It uses triangulation to estimate where the shot should land and is not 100% accurate.

Light gun: Nintendo zapper or other device that references images on the screen. it is not 100% accurate either but scales to the size of the screen and is a much better option.

Pointer devices can only emulate a light gun and they don't do it very well. Even the Namco guncon 3 is not very good because it is a Pointer device and not a true light gun.

I really want a true light gun for modern televisions, and I know that the inserted frame along with input lag make it impossible, but I think there could be a better solution than a pointer device.

I like the modern mallard but that price is insane for a one game fix.

Check out Bushiden! It's a 16-bit styled Metrodvania / Action Platformer similar to Shinobi. There are physical release tiers for PS4 and Switch too.

I backed for a PS4 physical copy as I think this looks awesome.
