My controller definitely has that issue. I didn't notice it the other night when I tested it, but I can feel it now. I guess the good news is that there should be very few, if any, games that require you to push the L button while also using the analog stick. I certainly have never played one, but I'm not a big N64 guy. As I said before, I still like the controller, but I'm glad I didn't order more than one. My opinion of the company might change significantly depending on how they ultimately handle this situation. |

That would have been my problem, I would have had 4 controllers that had this problem, and knowing the whole Kickstarter, I can only see it now... "Craig, you should be greatful!" "Make him pay DOUBLE to FIX!, THESE ARE FINE!" "There is no problem, Craig's just bitching again!" Oh well, I did report TJ and the person who called me a fag and their comments have been deleted. $80 for 4 imperfect controllers.... I'll wait til the bugs are fixed.. and order some |

Ugh, they're going to use Kickstarter to sell their colored controllers, and it's transparent colors only for now. That's pretty disappointing. I was really hoping for an update on the joystick issue but this is the message we got: --- Quote from: Retro Fighters ---First off we want to thank everyone for your support throughout this process, we couldn't have done it with each and every one of you! In this update we wanted to discuss the future color options. We are planning to launch a new Kickstarter in about a week, once we have a finalized date we will let everyone know. We decided on a Kickstarter because it gives us a clear indication of exactly how many to build per color based on demand and allows us to offer a larger selection of colors, otherwise if we were to launch on our website or through retail alone we would be limited to only a couple colors because of manufacturing costs and limitations. We decided to focus on the transparent colors first as it requires a bit more time and additional funds to adjust the colors and to modify the shells for the transparent colored options. We are still planning on additional solid colors, but for the development and manufacturing process we are focusing on the transparent colors and then we will also roll out the additional solid colors. Here are the top 5 voted on transparent colors we are going with, in order of highest voted to lowest. We are planning on creating these 5 colors for everyone: 1. Purple 2. Green 3. Blue 4. Red 5. Orange If you order through Kickstarter we will refund you partially for the controller as part of the discount. You would just send us a message and let us know you were an initial backer and would like a discount. We then will send a partial refund back so you can receive at the initial backing price of $20. As these units will be a bit higher than the original $20 backing price, between $25-$30. We hope everyone is happy that we can offer a larger array of transparent colors than initially planned. Again we thank everyone for your support! --- End quote --- |

That is laughable. I'll likely not back their second kickstarter either. |

That's a hard pass for me. Kickstarter is basically a non-secure pre-order. Now, don't get wrong. I'm ok with that when it's a project that I believe in and I'm willing to take some risk to see it succeed. However, this company has already succeeded with their original Kickstarter. At this point, they should have the funding they need. If they are only interesting in gauging interest in the different colors (as they claim), they should offer pre-orders. That way, you can get your money back if they don't follow through. I'm glad I have the controller that I have, but I don't see myself ordering from this company again. |
