Kickstarter - Your source for retro games?

What shenanigans? I know they took a vote as to what colored controllers to offer in the future, but I don't think the plan was ever to offer them to those who pledged on Kickstarter. If the controller works as well as the NES one, I'll be picking up a couple colored versions as well.

I'm not sure what you're talking about either. I backed this pretty early on, and I remember colors being a possibility down the road, but they were pretty clear that backers would get grey ones, and a $10 off coupon for every one they backed. So basically, for every grey one you pre-ordered you can get a colored controller (when available) for the kickstarter price. Then they took a vote on colors - my color (gold) lost, so I doubt I'll see that - but I think that was it.

Trust me, it's a cesspool of teenage hormones wanting a release for that damn controller over there, and no one is listening to logic. Anytime I post, I get immediately shot down.
The Colors (as a reward mind you, a REWARD) are going to be BLACK and TRANSPARENT PURPLE. Nothing more. They get over 10 times what they were originally asking for, and the best they can do (even with the second color incentive unlocked) is 2 colors.
The Lack of Updates: there is nothing informative at all in their updates, only the fact that they will freeze Hell over to get these controllers out. To me, they are cutting corners left and right and don't care about bugs (see below) and to keep costs low, eh, fuck it, just get these out ASAP.
No Transfer Pak Compatibility now: ... Well... this was working, and now it's not. So... fuck the people wanting to purchase a 100% complete controller, and make them stick to a regular N64 controller when they want to use the Transfer Pak. Only problem is... is... that I ordered 4 controllers.... so.... 4x grey controllers are going in my drawer... along with 4x colored controllers when they are released.... but INSTEAD OF ACTUALLY FIXING THE PROBLEM / ALLOWING THOSE OF US WHO CAN WAIT TIL IT IS FIXED, RetroFighters wants to push their product and say "Feck you consumers!"
Newest Update: "Controllers are coming". Pictures? Nope.... Colored Controller update? Nope, not really. Only the fact that "it's a wot of wonny to pwoduce a wold =( =( =( "

They were moderately unclear early on about whether or not you could get colored ones as part of the kickstarter. Then they were pretty clear, but a lot of folks didn't catch it until it was too late or just at the last minute. I personally wanted 1 of each color. Telling me that if I want the backer price for the colored controllers that I have to buy a grey controller for every colored controller is just ridiculous. Just let me do add-ons for the colors. I'm not buying 4 grey controllers to get 4 colored controllers, in this case I suppose it would've been 2 controllers and 2 colored controllers. They were not explicit about how many colored controllers they were going to make so even if you were willing to buy that many grey controllers, you didn't know how many to buy to get the colored controllers at that price.
It just reeks of shenanigans to me. I'll just wait and buy what controllers I want down the line once they are out.
Plus... I had no interest in the grey controller at all. I only wanted the colored controllers.
Also, IIRC, the prototype/mockup controllers they showed were black, weren't they? Kind of misleading if black wasn't even a planned color at that point.
